This is unusual since a longterm study released about thirty years ago by Harvard, showed that daily aspirin at about one-quarter the usual dose would reduce heart attacks.

What you need to watch out for is Tylenol (acetaminophen and a British name I forget) is liver-toxic at doses of 1.5 grams. A usual dose is 500 mg. Big pharma rarely warns you about such effects. Also, there are a ton of over-the-counter meds with ibuprofen and a touch of aspirin. Cheers.

Muskie, the best hangover cure is about two shots of vodka in the morning mixed with a lot "sports drank."

Yeah, I used to be prescribed low dose aspirin for my heart. Last year or two they stopped recommending that. But now they're saying it's actually bad. Crazy, it's a 180. Or an attempt to explain away a lot of cardiac events.

Paracetamol. Always thought that was weird.

I don't get hangovers anymore, just withdrawal if I drink way too much and suddenly stop. They're similar, but as long as I have booze I feel fine. Or if I keep it to an actual reasonable amount.

I'm afraid to stop drinking because the cumulative hangover hitting all at once would probably kill me.

I was hoping you wouldn't notice but it is true in my case.

If you want to quit, slowly taper down so you don't die, and then just suffer for a few months. Once you break alcohol dependence it's a lot more fun to drink again.

Ha. I don't want to quit but I have tapered down to where even my doctor says my levels are all right.
