That was already clear from the first study. As well the studies show that Hydroxychloroquine helps in the first stages of the disease, especially in combination with Zinc and some other components.

But the difference is $1000 for Fauci's Remdesivir or $0.1 for HCQ that has no patent. So no commercial institute or corporation will push for HCQ and lose the opportunity to earn trillions. It will be a long battle.
