I'm generally of the opinion that the truth of any matter lies either somewhere between (but not equidistant from) any two opposing positions, but above or beyond or no where near two opposing positions are always strong contenders. Currently the world is putting all its faith in various kinds of authoritarianism, even when that authoritarianism is presented by those in power as empowering or giving voice to the powerless or voiceless. Technocrats and grifters have worked their way up any number of corrupt institutions in the world. It is also open knowledge that freemasons, de Chardin's heresies and anti-Christian scientism, and modernism have flooded the leadership of the Church. These problems are in addition to the ever present problem of those seeking worldly power and worldly pleasures by pursuing their own unchecked passions using the church for their own ends.
I am very moved by the fact that Our Lady predicted this in detail long ago and her predictions have been given to a number of people of all ages and in many places. I am also moved by the way these tragedies are parts of patterns, and we see these patterns played out where all the necessary elements of the pattern can be seen. I am also moved, taken aback really, at how Our Lady's warnings line up with seemingly crazy ideas like the "Cardinal Siri theory" and how that theory makes sense of the predicted events. That theory provides a potential "how" to both the "what" we see in the direction the church has taken and the "what" of what Our Lady predicted.
There has been a lot written about Vatican II, the "spirit" of Vatican II, potential distinctions between the two, all the predictions (not just Our Lady's, but of people like Francis of Assisi and Pope Pius X and many others), as well as how bad ideas and heresies have dominated the church in the past only to be pushed aside eventually. A lot, mostly in reaction against these concerns, has been written about how the problems we see have their foundations before Vatican II and how maybe these problems are part of a process that must sort the wheat from the chaff. Often though I think these two positions talk past each other and do not address valid points raised by both.
That the problems started before Vatican II is not deniable, but is that the point? No. It is like saying a meeting where a group decide on how to rob a bank is not important in the bank robbery because everyone there was thinking about robbing the bank before they left home to go to the meeting. Similarly, the defenders of VII do not address the concerns about changes to the mass, and removal of prayers that go far beyond using the "vernacular" instead of Latin. They do not touch the matter of how similar the new mass is to the one freemasons wanted the church to adopt.
But the most intransigent of "trads" do not address instances of Our Lady where she seeming calls for a kind of ecumenicalism. The part of the Decade Prayer where we say "lead all souls into heaven, especially those in most need of Thy Mercy" goes beyond ecumenical. One could say "well we can ask for it as we pray for our enemies and for the conversion of souls", but the point is if we really mean what we are praying then we are calling for that. We know not all will convert in a real meaningful way just as we know our own struggles with living a faithful life to Jesus. That part of the Decade Prayer is a prayer for unity of everyone in Christ-- everyone without exception. And that is just one example of seemingly ecumenicalism, if not much more than just ecumenicalism, coming from our Lady.
This is a long post I provide very few details. I guess it is meant for people who have already started delving into these problems and are looking at all the various sides in these fights and trying to sort it all out. Some of the details are not strictly under the kinds of topics of "Hail Mary", like what "trads" or modernists ( = non-trads, let's be honest, it's modernism and an attempt to have nice worldly positions along with other thought-leaders and world-leaders while attempting to gain that place in the world as if the church should be part of that) think, and the rest will end up covered as I fill out this place (my current task is to find what is the actual second apparition of Our Lady and not just settle for the most easily found seemingly-second one).
But, I think Our Lady is telling us the truth of the matter lies somewhere beyond either of the two positions.
there doesn't seem to be anything here
