Mary told Lucia (from Fatima) that she asked Jesus for this and he granted it, for us to at some point our lives (as in tomorrow), give five consecutive first Saturdays of the month in reparations for sin against her Immaculate Heart. So, as we know "the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’" Any insults or offenses to His mother then is certainly an insult to Him, if that extra bit of incentive is needed-- it shouldn't be. But since they say to Jesus through Mary, thinking about any offenses to her we see in the world (or, God forbid, commit) and praying forgiveness for those who perhaps know not what they do is also praying for offenses against Him. It is an easy first step back away from thinking about our own failures in our own life, and our sins against God directly, to thinking about how we effect others. Mary is a great starting point, as she is His mother and our mother by adoption, to think about both the life of Jesus, what it means to submit to the will of God, what it means to suffer for our Lord, and how we should think about each other here on earth as we think about her.
The first five Saturdays involve 3 (well, four I guess) tasks: going to confession either that day or within eight days (as the lines are long on the first Saturdays!), attending mass and receiving the Eucharist, getting a Brown Scapular to wear on that first of the five Saturdays from a priest (and it will have been blessed already) after mass, praying the Rosary and spending 15 extra minutes in meditation on one of the Mysteries of the Rosary. We already are supposed to be praying the Rosary everyday so this is an additional 15 minutes, once a month, for five months, to spend with her.
If you haven't been to confession in a long long while, then that will be a separate topic and post. I do imagine Orthodox could do this no different than Roman Catholics, but they might not see the concept of immaculate as Catholics do. Still, they venerate the Theotokos so the idea of offending her can't be taken lightly.
This very short video states it better than I can:

Not very demanding at all of her. We're asked to spend an hour in Eucharistic adoration, a week, so this is not a tall ask on her part (it also sort of puts in perspective the idea that Catholics "worship" Mary. We venerate her, with good reason. Read the Harp of Glory and notice all the foot notes to where these praises for her are found in the bible).
The Brown Scapular is from Our Lady of Mount Carmel and the history of that is tied into the history of the Carmelites. It signifies devotion to Our Lady.
As I'm typing this, tomorrow is the first Saturday of October 2021, and the way the world is going we may not have many more before it is too late, Lord have mercy. That is short notice, but start thinking about it and consider doing it if you can. If not this month then next month. May Jesus and Mary be praised by all!
