How did the Jesuits spread Christianity in China?

The first attempt by the Jesuits to reach China was made in 1552 by St. Francis Xavier, Navarrese priest and missionary and founding member of the Society of Jesus. Many Chinese, including former Confucian scholars, adopted Christianity and became priests and members of the Society of Jesus.

What was Matteo Ricci mission?

Ricci, Matteo (1552–1610). Jesuit missionary in China. He gained the attention of Chinese intellectuals by displaying and explaining to them European clocks, a map of the world, etc., planning thereby to bridge the difference in cultures and convert the country from the official classes downwards

This leads up to the Taiping Rebellion. These two, Hong Xiuquan and Feng Yunshan formed pretty much a cult of their own because they worshipped in a fake white man. Hong thought he was gods son, thought he was white.

20m people died because of these idiots.

Hong Xiuquan was not a white worshiper, he fought against the Qing as well as the Europeans, Christianity was a tool he used to separate himself from the Confucian ideology that was at the time controlled by the Qing.
