Your failure to do what, exactly?

The world is full of toxic people and they're not that way because someone hasn't informed them that their behavior is crappy; they know it and do it anyway because they don't care.

This applies to both men and women, by the way. There is plenty of toxic femininity, the bullying just manifests differently. Women also objectify men, so the locker-room chat you hear has an equivalent in the female sphere, though is perhaps less aggressive.

You as an individual aren't going to change the minds of these people, so you can't feel guilt for not managing to do it. It takes time for an entire culture to change, and takes everyone doing their bit to change their own behaviors.
