Why on earth would anyone tell another person they "should ' transition? You're an effeminate guy - that's allowed. Plenty of women aren't effeminate, maybe remind people of that! You're good as you. Many women love effeminate guys, if that concerns you (it shouldn't, but young people do worry about that kind of thing)

I think the image of an effeminate gay man makes lots of people uncomfortable. So in order to hide that image, some people would be ok with us copying the appearance of women. Also, they think transwomen have a larger dating pool than a guy like me, simply because effeminate men are pretty much rejected by gay men as potential partners.

But what do you want? Do you want a gay man as a partner? I do agree with the implicit homophobia involved with trans ideology. Homophobia is also alive and kicking and making adults uncomfortable (sadly and outrageously), nobody is suggesting they should be hidden (... are they? ...)

I'm a man, so of course my partner is going to be gay/bi and that's what I want. I do think that for some people the image of a "transwoman" and his partner is less disgusting than the image of two bearded men together. Specially when many of these TIMs are often mistaken for women. You all cite homophobia as one of the reasons for somebody to modify their body, I just gave my opinion on why that is. It's all about revealing or hiding the status of gender non-conforming people.
