Ugh. That's just really sad to read. 19 is barely an adult, and definitely not old enough to do this to yourself. I imagine these people have no idea what it's like to live in pain. I did for a single year, and every day was torture. I couldn't forget about the pain, it colored everything else I did. And it wasn't even that serious - just a constant tingling sensation in my left hand, and slight pain on contact when I used that hand. The best day of my life to date was when it finally went away. These kids and young adults have no idea, and they're doing this to themselves... crazy.

Someone else calls them out for their melodramatic language, and they claim their dysphoria made their genitals "an active threat" to their own health: https://www.reddit.com/r/agender/comments/qydhy4/my_genitals_are_finally_gone_posting_so_that/hlhe5cy/?context=3

People with mental illnesses are being given far too much leeway and control in terms of their own treatment. Quite frankly, people who are mentally ill and have warped perceptions of reality to the extent they believe the presence of their healthy, functioning genitals are an active health threat to themselves and their sanity, are in need of therapy, not surgery. Lopping off one's genitals to treat dysphoria doesn't do anything whatsoever to address the dysphoria and they will be eventually triggered by other things that remind them of their birth sex.
