I just don't understand why people are so pro-Only Fans. The majority of women on there would make more money with a real job anyway. So who actually benefits from it? Because it's certainly not the women who are being exploited and objectified.

I also note that OnlyFans made use of the pandemic's economic downturn and job loss to recruit many new women for it, but then as the economy recovers they ditch porn.

Well if you're really curious, some people find it difficult to find or hold a normal job, due to bad social skills or whatever other reason. And some people might have some sort of personal issue that makes it hard for them to work a set schedule, requiring them to find a job where they can choose their own hours.

Don't attack me for being pro-sex work or whatever, I'm just filling in details. Nuance.

Kind of sucks for them if they don't have the correct age/attractive features to degrade themselves for the camera, doesn't it?

There are people who find ways to make far more money doing far less work than porn or Only Fans. And I don't mean 9-5 minimum wage shift work, there's things to do that don't involve being in an office or flipping burgers. But finding those means to support oneself involves creativity, innovation, and motivation. It's not true that most of these women are better doing pornography, this is the same argument used to justify selling drugs. In reality, it's dangerous work that most people don't turn much of a profit on, and it ruins your chances of holding a normal job or having a better life.
