I always find it interesting to see how young people perceive gender ideology, since they've grown up in it. I'm confused about how she seems to claim that it is explicitly about 'validating the patriarchy':

"actually, social prescriptions on the basis of sex/gender are fine and you can't question them because this might invalidate checks notes the patriarchy"

I mean, it is, but that was always the quiet part, and gender ideology was always framed as a subversion of 'patriarchy', even though it explicitly reinforces sex stereotypes. Does she mean that they're saying that part out loud, now? Gender ideology has always been incoherent, so it wouldn't surprise me that some of the interpretations of it are confusing, as well.

I think that maybe trans people in the past were more focused on having body dysphoria and making it better, but now it's more about stereotypes that adhere to patriarchy. I just find it interesting that somebody else noticed. Even QT/trans people in the past had knowledge about radical feminism, and said "clothes have no gender, everyone should do whatever they want." Now it's a unanimous "if you're gnc, then you're non-binary or trans, if you're cis then you need to act this way"

That's only logical, as in the recent past it still was accepted and acknowledged that gender dysphoria is a mental illness. Even trans people did. Today the current lore says it's all fine instead.
