I'm glad that Joe Rogan hasn't backed away from covering trans and gender identity issues. It's a classic case of the Streisand Effect; he didn't care one bit aside from the the sports issue, particularly MMA fighting. He made some benign and obvious observations and was attacked for them. That and having subsequent podcasts censored by Spotify piqued his interest. And he has a huge following.

Exposure to trans activism is the best way to Peak Trans normies like Rogan.

I actually think Rogan's concern from the start has been about more than the sports issue. Macho guys who've done sports like Rogan know what guys are like, in part because they've spent so much time in the company of guys doing manly guy things & they've heard - & probably participated in - all the misogynistic banter that blokes get up to in locker rooms, frat houses, pool halls, bars & when working out or watching sports together. Strong, tough macho guys like Rogan know full well the threat men pose to girls & women physically due to their strength, speed & size - & the discomfort men & boys can cause girls & women due to their aggressive, often invasive, pervy, voyeuristic, sexually predatory & inappropriate behavior. I recall him saying years ago that it's obvious men need to be kept out of women's locker rooms, toilets, change rooms & such because "everyone knows some men are creeps."

Rogan has two daughters - one now 11, the other 13 - as well as an older step-daughter. And no sons. So I have a sense that he has concerns not just about fairness to girls & women in sports, but about girls' & women's safety, privacy & peace of mind in places like change rooms & communal toilets. His interview with Abigail Shrier also showed that he's very aware of the mental health crisis amongst tween & teen girls today that's making so many of them want to opt out of their sex. I got the impression that he might actually have read Shrier's book.

In other interviews he's done that I've seen, when the issue of "trans rights" has come up, Rogan has pushed back at the TRA dogma & talking points. In an interview he did in April 2019 with Adam Ruins Everything, Rogan comes across as very well-informed about the issues & research, & says his major concern is about the transing of children & minors. He points out several times that all the research shows that if kids with childhood pre-pubertal GD are left alone, nearly all of them will grow out of it over time - & most/many will grow up to be gay men or lesbians. Rogan says he thinks it's completely wrong to put these kids on a medical pathway where their bodies, developing brains & sexuality will be altered by massive doses of hormones with many harmful & unknown effects. He also brings up the issue of how much surgery regret there is amongst the trans population, & how many young people who once were 100% sure they were trans at a younger age change their minds & end up detransitioning later. The Adam Knows Nothing guy keeps saying that "all the research" shows that transitioning kids is the best course of treatment, & Rogan keeps saying, "there is no research" and "I don't think that research exists." Also, although the focus is on kids in this convo, Adam The Woke MRA keeps bringing up examples of TIMs who have transitioned in mid-life, causing Rogan to make an aside: "funny how many of them then claim to be lesbians."

So all in all, I have the impression that Rogan has looked at the topic of "trans" from a number of different angles & he always had concerns that go well beyond the sports issues. Spotify's attempts to censor or bar some of his content didn't come until his contract with them started on September 1, 2020. That was after his interview with Abigail Shrier in July 2020 - & more than 18 months after the interview with Adam Ruins Everything that showed Rogan to be already quite well informed about the trans phenom & concerned for different reasons.

Also, Rogan had Douglas Murray on in 2018, when Murray was completing work on The Madness of Crowds, which came out in Sept 2019. Since free speech is one of Murray's main issues, I imagine the way trans activists try to shut down all debate came up in their convos on the podcast as well as behind the scenes.

If you watch the video, CW: at 27:30 the Adam Talks Nonsense guy brings up Oscar Pistorius & with a laugh says "he killed his girlfriend" as if it's funny.
