I read a quote by, I think, Maya Forstater, who is a true sheroine, something about how women fighting gender ideology need to speak out more loudly each day than they did the day before.
I took it to heart, so now, everywhere I go, if there's an opportunity to spew GC talking points, I take it.
Today it was this insanely long check out line at the store. A woman in line was telling another woman in line (strangers) that she wouldn't vacation in California because of CA governor, Gavin Newsom.
That was my opportunity to educate both women, as well as everyone within earshot, about Gavin Newsom signing the bill that would allow men to self ID as women and be housed in women's jails.
That then opened the door to discuss the Biden administration's changes to Title IX to include “gender identity” under “sex”, destroying the privacy, dignity and safety, as well as the sports, of female students across the US.
Then I talked about the Biden administration’s prior changes to allow men to self-ID as women in federally-funded facilities. How women in not just prisons, but homeless shelters, rape crisis centers and domestic violence shelters, and often their children, would now be housed with men.
Both women in the line, and then one's husband who wandered up, as well as the people behind all of us, were outraged.
One woman was a liberal, while the other had a vehement hatred for the Democratic Party, but both were women and both could understand completely the horrors our less-fortunate sisters now faced.
And that’s why I believe that we need to reach out to every woman we can, regardless of whether we agree with them on any other issue, because we are all women and, if explained correctly, we will all know what’s at stake if gender ideology “wins.”
We women are in the fight of our lives, and we are in it together.
