Do you think maybe you were talking at her rather than to her?

She interacted. I got the sense that had we met in other circumstances, I could have Peak Transed her fairly easily, because she was thinking about each of my points and I could see her putting the pieces together.

I have noticed with other doctors I've been to that when I bring up the sudden rise of kids, particularly gay kids, claiming to be transgender, they've noticed too and are wondering where it all came from. Most doctors I've spoken to about this are actually really interested, maybe because they know the risks of giving a 12-year-old a chemical castration drug.

OP: She interacted.

I'd interact regardless if someone was talking at me. No one knows here how OP interacted with her. OP may not actually beaware and we will never know what her talk with the doctor is really like, we just got to take her word for it.

If anyone came at me to have this type of discussion while I'm at work, I would try to politely move away from the discussion if I'm uninterested without looking like I'm shutting then down to not offend them or just plain listen to curb my boredom. I might even pretend to be interested just to see what they say and do (something I did before to get me through the shift and another time when I was talking to a stranger outside of work because I was bored and curious to see how good I was at pretending to feign interest).
