Then, when I got to see the gynecologist, who was the best I've seen yet, I started my gender critical spiel.

I began with the new patient form I'd filled out, asking her whether she really considered biological sex changeable. She said the office had put the option of claiming transgender on the form to be considerate of transgenders. I attempted to explain why normalizing the idea that men could identify into womanhood was so dangerous for women.

Afterwards, I specifically talked about the dangers of girls being sucked into the transgender craze, thinking that she, as a gynecologist, has probably noticed.

She was obviously very intelligent, and listened for a bit, but the minute I mentioned that the Biden administration was behind the changes in law, she shut off, snapped that the office was "free of politics" and then continued with the examination as if I hadn't said anything at all.

I'm going to be honest with you, it's pretty reasonable for her to shut you down there. Her talking about politics can get her more in trouble as it's not related to medicine and it's purely political. She can explain why there're stupid changes to forms, and listen to you talk about the gender delusions, but the longer you talk, the more she has to listen and try to refrain from stating her opinion which can affect how she does her job (or if she can keep her job or not if it gets out that she has an unpopular opinion about any party). She may not even be in any position to afford a potential lost or attack by stating her opinion unlike other people (e.g. Toronto University's professor Jordan Peterson).

By the looks of your post, your conversation with her seems largely one-sided with you talking and her just listening. She probably tried to refrain from stating her thoughts as that could put her in a "bias" frame and can cause some issues with the job. This issue is not unique to the medical industry, when you're working in customer service, you can't openly state your political, religious thoughts lest you are fine with losing your job.

From what I understand medical pratcitioners and medical companies are trying to take the path of least resistance because they want to get their job done, they're after money. It doesn't really indicate if your gynecologist is a GenderCritical, a TRA or support Biden.

Although if it's their personal private practice that they own and not part of a larger company, then I would suspect they are TRA while trying to look politically neutral (though they could easily have GenderCritical views, but care more about money than trying to actively counter the TRA delusion). If they're part of a larger company and are simply employed there by someone else, then you don't really know. Go for a practice which is privately owned and run by a medical practitioner who doesn't have those stupid things on their forms if you can, less likely those that don't follow popular social trends are more likely to not care or support TRA stuff. You don't actually know their beliefs unless they state their beliefs to you outside of the professional environment.

There's also just that she's probably busy and has other patients to see. Bringing up another point after already talking for a bit about multiple topics, that sounds like its going to lead into a lengthy explanation...

She was doing the exam the whole time, and I must say, was a fantastic doctor. Really, probably the best I've had of any doctor.

There's that too. I'd rather keep religious, political discussions outside of work when I was in customer service. I would also be pissed off if a doctor appointment took extra longer because someone decided to go political and the doctor was unprofessional enough to discuss, regardless if they have similar poltical opinions (I'm unwell or have other things to do.

If she reached an important part of the session where errors are more likely made, she would really need to shut the OP down so she makes sure she does her job properly.

My doctor is often late to see me and I generally take the empathetic assumption the patient probably needs to see him for more stuff, I'd be pissed off if it's because the patient decided to go political regardless if I share a similar political opinions, sometimes I'm unwell and have to drag myself there for a doctor's certificate, sometimes I have some work I've fallen behind and need to complete after my appointment.

Good points, thanks.

The office had WOKE signs (in the US, a good % of people in certain neighborhoods have signs like "Hate has no home here, " etc), so I think that there were at least some political discussions allowed.

She actually engaged with me often. For instance, when I mentioned "Lupron" she said, "Of course I know Lupron - what about it?"

She also remembered the original intent of Title IX, which had NOTHING to do with "gender identity," and also was shocked when I gave her some of the statistics as to how many kids were claiming to be transgender, and the makeup of those kids (mostly gay, but also autistic, ADHD, etc.)

I would say she was interested until I said the words, "Biden administration."

The doctor's office is not a place to discuss politics with the doctor. Just because the office had woke signs, it doesn't mean they are a place to discuss politics, or people even WANT to discuss politics. There's a difference between showing you're woke and being open for discussion on politics. A lot of places and people would rather avoid a political discussion and instead choose to look as accomodating as possible. The medical industry does rely on making people aside from saving lives to increase their profits.

Still political and ideological unrelated, it's one of the "safe" responses to make, what you say next and her next response (if she mindlessly replies with her thoughts) can put her at some risk.

She may react to what you are saying, maybe put in a bit of input, she would have done so in a way where the patient can't claim anything against her (e.g. avoid saying that "trans people are deluded). The entire thing seems like she was just trying to listen to you, react like a human being and drop the discussion on politicians or she may at risk say something she might regret.
