She's apparently being attacked by Dr. Mama Jones and her followers now. So that's fun for her. Women aren't allowed to speak out without being attacked, and sadly sometimes it's other women doing the attacking.

I would not say birthing is a "feminine" experience, it's just a female experience. To say it is "feminine" would imply it is a social construct when really it's just plain biology that only those with XX chromosomes are capable of doing. Other than that, I would not mind hiring her as a midwife. Social constructs does not dictate human physiology and anatomy.

I understand some might think the husband patronises or objectifies his wife with the comment "What a woman!", but his wife went through labour for four days, was emotionally exhausted, he's amazed at the strength of the woman he married and expressing it to the midwife.
