Does 'wheesht' mean anything in England? I'm in Canada and it wouldn't translate here. I think something like 'Defend women's sex-based rights' sums up the issue while avoiding references to trans people or gender identity, which will invariably be dismissed as 'transphobia' by the ignorant. 'Defend free speech' is relevant, too.

I think name dropping Marion Miller could be useful. People won't know who she is, but they might be inspired to investigate.

Maybe also, 'This ribbon is a hate crime', if you want to get cheeky about it.

Wheesht in Scotland means "shut up"

Like the idea of mentioning sex-based rights as some students will probs think it’s genderqueer as they’ve nicked our colours (and it’s pride month and no real student would dare do something terfy...)

"Women won't shush" or "women won't be silenced" would work.
