Lipstick Alley is a really unique space, and I'm not going to lie, I'm super jelly of Black women for creating and having it.

I love it too, but there's also Ovarit which is all races.

As an outspoken woman I don't feel welcome at Ovarit at all. I've even had run ins here on Saidit with feminists from there that won't allow women to have a different opinion. Hard pass.

I only lurk but I do hear it's authoritarian.

Have you tried any of the non-political circles?

Yeah that's valid - it's hard because while in theory Ovarit is really just about a women's space for women, it was made manifest by the banning of r/GC, so that was the point of connection.... Hopefully it will keep growing though, and there will be the like more politicized spaces, and then the like "Just be chill and nerd out about knitting" spaces - they DO have apolitical circles, like knitting ones!
