So the child had serious mental illness that was just channelled into "transing"? And how did that work out? We keep seeing that Trans Insanity does not make the underlying mental health problems go away.

We have a mental health crisis in this world and throwing trans crap at it only makes it worse.

A disorder that causes an unstable sense of self nonetheless.. such an insidious ideology pushed into someone who should have been protected from it. What a damn shame.

We keep seeing that Trans Insanity does not make the underlying mental health problems go away.

Rather, it enshrines them forever by encouraging the subject to internalize their mental illness as an "identity".

I remember an interview with Abigail Shrier where she tells a story someone told to her of attending the funeral of a young person who had transitioned and then killed themselves. All the photos and videos at the memorial were from the brief time since the person had transitioned; no references to the identity they had had previously or the life they lived before. I wonder if it'll be the same at the Mom's funeral?

God that's so disturbing to think about. Erasing your entire past. And yet it's still not enough, these people are still unhappy with themselves. Because of course they are.

I have an old friend whose son, in his early 20s, decided he was trans after going to an Uber-Woke college. There had been no indication beforehand: the son was hypersensitive, extremely intelligent, and seemingly heterosexual.

My friend and his wife are very loving, very tolerant people, so it's not as if the boy grew up in some kind of repressive environment. But when he went TiM, he demanded that all of his pre-trans life be erased, including all photos, etc., destroyed.

Needless to say my friend and his wife, both wonderful people, are confused, hurt and struggling to help their son. They want him to be happy so will accept him in whatever way he wants to be, but the whole thing was inexplicable to them.

Wow. Reminds me of the Quillette series about boys transitioning, particularly the latest installment:

Yes - when I read that I thought of my friend and his son because one article in that series closely described their situation.

Pitiful. Even after getting she wanted, it didn't solve the BPD, and the suicidal ideation obviously continued... And now the mother will try to erase all the memories from before the transition? It's ludicrous. My kid is only 7 and there is so much to remember already - how would you pretend that just didn't exist or was somehow physically false? It's incomprehensible. Why a trans person will not just be known as trans, I cannot understand.
