How many people think he really wants to help the state and how many think "another attention ploy"?

That fatal accident is not a good look on a politician. Nor is transvestitism.

Oh good lord, in the GOP primary for governor will I have to see Ric Grenell refer to Bruce Jenner as "she/her"?????? Drop the T, Ric. Drop the T.

I'd pay good money to see that, but it appears I might not have to pay anything.

Go, Brucelyn, run for governor and Peak Trans the world!

I think he should run. Then we can see just how many people really buy into this fairytale bullshit.

If nazism is any indication: a lot.

Today's new flash from this sub's in-house pedant:

There's no such thing as "the men's decathlon" in the Olympics like you say, BEB. There's no Olympic decathlon for women.

When Jenner won the decathlon, the women's event that came closest only had five parts, or half the men's:

Women first competed in the pentathlon – five disciplines – at the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo. This format was later replaced by the heptathlon, with the addition of the javelin and 800m. The enlarged event was first contested [sic] at the 1983 IAAF World Championships and then the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

An American woman is pushing to get a women's decathlon included in 2024 or 2028 Olympic games. Now that's the kind of "inclusivity" & "diversity" we can all get behind:

Thanks for the clarification and I'm glad you educated us! I was just quoting the twitter user I linked, because it was their link. I'm guessing that they were just trying to make the point that Bruce competed as a man in the decathlon, which was an all-male event, but would be California's first "woman" governor.

Bring it on, Bruce - run!

I hope you know it's not really to correct you that I make these annoying posts, it's for the record & the readers.

The issue of the decathlon vs women's long fight to get to be able to compete in lesser events at the Olympics like the pentathlon seems to be going down the memory hole. So few people nowadays seem to realize how long women were kept out of sporting competition, and how when we finally were let in women had to fight for each & every small step towards parity.

Don't worry. I was just noting that what I posted wasn't my own words.

Not to mention the first Republican since Arnold.

It's odd that it's the GOP running completely unqualified celebrities like Ah-Nuld, BruceLyn and Orange Ceasar, when it's the Democrats who have most of the loony Hollywood Left wrapped up.

Yes, California really needs someone who's never held elected office or had any significant political experience running the state. But then narcissists often fail up in our strange new world.

California had AhNuld. And Reagan.

California also had Jerry Moonbeam TWICE and now has Gavin Ken-Doll Newsom. Surprised the state is still standing, TBH.

There's no way he would win the Republican nomination unless they rig it.

Let's hope so. I know people who know him and they think he's a dumb schmuck (which is somewhat obvious)....
