Also, most of my comments on this story did not get published.

All the "Times Picks" comments - meaning the ones endorsed by the paper - are in support of males being allowed to use "gender identity" to horn in on female sports. But all the "Readers' Picks" are in support of girls' & women's sports remaining female-only.

I don't think it's an accident that in the space of a few short days a whole bunch of MSM outlets - NYTimes, USA Today, Washington Post, The New Yorker, Scientific American - have come out with major articles insisting that it's reactionary to object to males participating in female sports and passing off this invasion - "inclusion" - as the new frontier in the struggle for "LGBTQ rights."

This is a concerted attack.

Shameless. I have no trust left in these publications.

I want some real information on COVID & vaccines, but now don't trust any of them to give it, since they all seem bought by Big Gender/ Big Pharma. How do I know that they're not lying about vaccines and treatment too?

I agree. If it were random, I think you would see these articles separated by a few days at a time as newsrooms saw that a particular article was getting clicks and decided to jump on the bandwagon. Instead, these articles seem to push particular strategies or talking points at the same time. It's really weird and I can't see how this is random.

Also amazing that the perspectives of biological girls are never considered. No one ever does an article allowing the girls to speak freely who lost competitions to transgirls or were forced to share private spaces like bathrooms or locker rooms. THOSE girls have been silenced. The transgirls are allowed to speak freely. It's so sad. I must say, if I were one of the girls who had been forced to give up sex-specific resources for a transgender girl, I would also be unwilling to admit I was uncomfortable, because girls and women who say they don't believe TWAW seem to get horribly doxxed and harassed.

I'm now revisiting my own childhood values and wondering how many of them are based on truth and how many are just things I internalized from cultural propaganda.

Of course nothing about the feminist groups fighting against gender ideology.

Quotes:

"South Dakota is just one of a growing number of states where Republicans are diving into a culture war clash that seems to have come out of nowhere. It has been brought about by a coordinated and poll-tested campaign by social conservative organizations like the American Principles Project and Concerned Women for America, which say they are determined to move forward with what may be one of their last footholds in the fight against expanding L.G.B.T.Q. rights."

"Limiting the rights of transgender people is an issue that has resonance with an increasingly small share of the overall population. A new study by the Public Religion Research Institute reported that only 7 percent of Americans were “completely against” pro-L.G.B.T.Q. policies. But it is a vocal group intent on showing that it can flex its power in the Republican Party."

What came out of nowhere was this insanity about changing sexes. Yeah, keep the "Republican" Narrative going. Mainstream media is such shameless propaganda. They all get issued the same list of talking points and they all regurgitate it.

Sure, it's a tiny number of Republicans that are scheming against those poor widdle Trans and everyone else is fully on board with the erasure of women.

It's like reading a poll in the Turkish press that says Erdogan has 100% approval and is the most beloved Turkish leader EVER. Because there it is in print, in Erdogan-approved media, see, and no other media is allowed to publish. Shameless BS. Shameless.

Did you read the comments? The NYT Picks were like your Erdogan poll (Trans women are women!) while the Readers Picks were like Turkish exiles free to say what they really thought (I'm a Democrat, but Girls sports are for GIRLS).

I didn't read them, but at this point the Woke Media Narrative is so cliched you can just write it yourself and it's an exact match. Why can't everyone see that?

The only mystery to me is how they ALL fell in line with this crap. Every last one of them. We know that six corporations own ALL of the media. Still you'd think someone would say no. One corporation would refuse to fall in line. Some brave editor would refuse to follow the decree from on high. Nope.

Well, there's Tucker Carlson maybe, in terms of big names. There's some smaller sites online, but for those with an audience of over a million, there are few, very few. And look how they've tried to destroy him. They had the American military attacking him on Twitter. Of course, the military is becoming Trans Central isn't it.

This is just an unreal attack from all The Powers That Be.

I think most Americans, well, the ones who didn't go to university recently, or who don't live/work in Wokevilles, are just scratching their heads about all of this WOKE stuff, including gender ideology, at the moment.

Then there are us, many of us liberals, who are losing our trust in institutions: Scientific American, National Geographic, the National Organization for Women, the ACLU, Amnesty International, etc., and ad nauseam.

I fear that when a significant portion of the population across the political spectrum loses trust in just about everything, the net result will be a breakdown of the bonds that hold us together as a society.

Kara Dansky of Women's Human Rights Campaign calls out NYT author on his ignoring feminist activism in the men in women's sports debate:

"You conveniently omitted the fact that at least two feminist organizations filed amicus briefs before the 9th Circuit in the federal case out of Idaho.”
