It is all about one thing. Power. The tables have turned b/c of their ability to control mass communication is now paired with an ideology where anyone who disagrees with them on just about anything must be shunned from society b/c they are some sort of nazi bigot. There is no debate, if you question the dogma or something put out by one of their "elites", you are on the shit list. Look at Piers Morgan. He claimed not to believe Meghan, and that was the end of him on his morning show. He was berated for disbelieving "her lived truth". He was a vile scumbag not fit to be on tv, and waves of online abuse followed. Now that we know several(and probably all) of her claims were total and outright bullshit, does PM get his job back ? Are there waves of apologies ? Is anyone seriously asking why Meghan and Harry went on national TV and sounded like two bratty kids whining and lying that their family hates them? Nope, b/c that's not how this works. That's not how any of this works.

In times past, journalists were journalists. They may have leaned left, but they wouldn't dismiss any questioning of the left as "bad faith" or define opposing viewpoints as being "rooted in racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, the patriarchy, white supremacy, privilege." They do it to instantly shut down any and all opposing arguments b/c a person accused of racism saying "I'm not racist" is almost always shouted down. It is difficult to prove a negative, the left knows it and this is why almost all arguments with them end in this fashion.

The left is turning into the thought police b/c it leads to them having political power which will be essentially unending. Look at the GA voting law. They are losing their minds about it, yet is no more restrictive than voting laws in numerous other states, but that doesn't matter to the left b/c they already have some of those states so who gives a shit ? They just "won" GA, and are looking to keep it, so out comes the charges of racism when an election law is passed. One of the stories to come out of the governor signing the bill into law is of a painting on the wall. The painting is of a plantation, so bam, the whole thing is rooted in white supremacy and racism. They did it b/c of the painting. The painting drove them to it. An African American lawmaker was banging on the door during the signing, she almost certainly knew she was going to be arrested, and they got the image they wanted of her being cuffed and led away by two white cops in those stupid hats.

It is all about power and social media has been key to forcing people into losing their jobs over "toxic" remarks. Fear is power, and they are drunk with it at the moment.

I have to say, I turned off "liberal" US cable news years ago (although I was forced to listen to FOX NEWS for years recently due to caring for elderly relatives) but then watched CNN & MSNBC around the time of the Capitol riot or insurrection.

After that was over, I could not watch CNN & MSNBC - everything was "racism," and then their enthusiastic support of gender ideology just lost whatever tiny trust I might have had.

Not that I can watch conservative media because of its lies. Although I have to say, in terms of gender ideology, I rarely catch conservative media in a lie.
