I really want someone who is super important, to go on national TV and say "Women can have penises, and men can get pregnant." Dont beat around the bush, dont quietly remove someone behind the scenes. Own your insanity and peak all the normies. You really believe men can menstruate? Fucking say it then.

I'm still annoyed with Rand Paul for blowing his chance. "Dr. Levine, do some women have penises?" on live TV.

I'm guessing that this has already happened in the US.

Dr Paul Greenall, a lecturer in forensic psychology who specialises in offenders with a past of sexual violence,

We should get him to write a paper investigating violent crime and sex offending rates in women Vs TIMs.

It would really shove a firecracker up the TRAs arses.

You know what would happen though.

The Cambridge Journal of Forensic Psychology (or whatever) or another well-respected journal in the field would publish the article after following its usual process of rigorous peer-review and editing.

The article would be read and discussed by a small group of academics who also focus on this area of forensic psychology, but if he's lucky he might get a conference presentation out of it. Then someone, somewhere in the mainstream media or on social media would get wind of this and then the shit would really hit the fan. The journal and the university would be pressured to recall the article and dismiss the professor with immediate effect, and there would be calls for The Cambridge Journal of Forensic Psychology to have a trans editor in chief.

Suddenly the journal would discover that the article actually didn't conform to the usually impeccable academic standards that are expected of papers of this calibre, and it will be removed forthwith. Similarly, any articles that skate perilously close to this subject will also be found to violate 'standards of academic integrity' and will quietly be removed.

The Cambridge Journal of Forensic Psychology will issue a fawning, obsequious statement about its support of the trans community, and will promise that such articles will not be allowed to fall through the editorial cracks in future. That such an article was allowed into its pages in this instance is 'unpardonable' and something the editorial board 'deeply regrets'. Maybe the editor will have to resign, and the position will be handed to someone with the correct opinions.

The university will launch an investigation into the lecturer, and it will come to light that numerous transgender students who attended his lectures or seminars have described feeling 'unsafe' around him, and maybe some students of colour will come forward and corroborate these claims. Dr. Greenall is a white man, after all.

At best the university will issue Dr. Greenall with a warning, but the subject of violent crime in relation to TIMs will become a subject that no journal, institution or academic will touch with a barge pole.

LOL!

I think a year ago, your scenario would have played out as written, but I think the gender dominos are falling rapidly and soon more and more people, including in academia, will be emboldened to speak out.

Fingers crossed.

Couple of years ago yes, not sure they could get away with it now.

By then the media would have got hold of it.

It truly is amazing that every single thing he tweeted which they accuse of being offensive is the most simple straightforward fact. How can we possibly go on like this? How can people continue to pretend that it is bigoted to state the most obvious things, like that women can menstruate but men can't? It's insane. Are we really going to keep this up?

People all around me either ignore or shake their heads and dismiss the terrible discrimination of people who make these kinds of comments - people like JK Rowling or Rand Paul who do not seem to be asking terrible questions when you listen to them, but who are spoken of like heretics. This guy can't be rejected in the same way, right? These statements are so simple, so uncontroversial...

It's quite scary to realize how easy it is to convince people of lies, even when things can easily be tested for accuracy. It puts believing in dragons, witches, leprechauns and other magical creatures or phenomena into perspective (I guess nowadays we have otherkins and gender souls to replace those).

It's also fascinating (in a morbid way) how the human mind can come up with the most absurd explanations for simple, observable facts. We have available information about how human reproduction works. Information that fits with what we can easily observe happening. Even before science properly explained reproduction, humans still knew, at a basic level, how it works. They knew which sex can get pregnant and give birth, that you need a male and a female for pregnancy to even occur, etc. But now, all of a sudden, things are more "complicated". Men can, all of a sudden, give birth, but not because of an evolutionary anomaly or mutation, not even because of advanced technology. But because we have changed language and are referring to some of the female members of ours species as "men".

And if we can easily be convinced to rejects basic, observable reality, is it any wonder how we allow worse things to happen? I am curious to know if this is just the future we are heading towards. Nothing is solid anymore, because everything is relative. It leaves room for a lot of "conspiracy theories" that I might have called insane some time ago.

What until the QAnon cultists realize that gender ideology actually does advocate for keeping kids in a suspended state of puberty as their breasts and genitalia are chopped off.

Also that the idea that kids can consent to transitioning will be used to claim that kids can consent to sex.

Caught between the Crazies of the Left and the Crazies of the Right, we might be doomed.

Yes, it's bizarre how extremism has managed to take over both sides. And I can see this tendency across the globe, especially in countries that generally have two main political parties.

You'd expect the average person to be put off by the extremism of either party, but if we look at what history has to teach us about that, I guess it's not so absurd.

I still hold hope there will be push back, as you mentioned in your other comment. Although, if it's just pushing back against the extremism of the liberals, to then choose the extremism of the conservatives, it's bleak. Like a never ending, miserable cycle.

[–]BEB[S] 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I used to have to pay attention to global events for my job, and sometimes predict what would happen next, plus I'm relatively old, so I predicted some of this polarization.

I think what's happened is that there's a big disconnect between what politicians and the media are telling us is for our benefit and the actual outcomes of what they push on us, and that leads to resentment and eventually rebellion against the status quo.

And then there's the internet, where you can easily find like-minded people, and also get sucked into whacky ideologies, like gender ideology, and, then, surrounded by an echo chamber, you lose your ability to think critically and rationally.

So I think I shouldn't be surprised that normally liberal people, including gender critical people, because of their disgust at all the baloney "the Left" is pushing on us, are whole-heartedly embracing the conservatives. It seems like there's no middle ground any more, just extremes. And that doesn't bode well for our future.

Great. In a couple weeks now I expect to hear that QAnon is now claiming transgenderism is what they were talking about the whole time.

[–]BEB[S] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (6 children)

I think that would kind of be great - tens of millions of Americans with Q flags waving, would storm the Capitol to stop the Equality Act - wonder how we get in touch with Q? ;-)

[–]lefterfield 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

Heh, I mean at least it'd be accurate!

Yeah - I hope the Q crazies take on the T movement. Battle of the nutcases.

I'm a bit worried about the women's march coming up. https://womenpicketdc.org/ If they were there to accuse Donald Trump of this and that, I can see Pelosi having the police escort them on in. Now that Pelosi & Pals have put up barbed wire ("Peasants with petitions stay out!" is what it screams to me; NOT "we're afraid for our safety.") -- will it be a tiny turnout and just be ignored? Will they be able to get anywhere near those in power?

Or worse, will these women be branded "terrorists" or accused of "trampling on trans rights"?

I am most interested to see the reaction they get. If I had to bet money, I'd say they'll be ignored. If they get any media coverage at all, will there be any attempt to tell the women's side, or will the story be hijacked by TRA? And will ANY House member who voted for the Erasure of Women Act make any public comments?

I saw an update that said that there's going to be at least a few hundred women there.

I'm sure the leftwing media and politicians will ignore them, but thanks to Kara Dansky, the Women's Human Rights Campaign US spokewomen who is on Tucker Carlson's Fox News show a lot, I think some of the conservative media might cover the protest.

Kara Dansky, the Women's Human Rights Campaign US spokewomen who is on Tucker Carlson's Fox News show a lot

Oh! I didn't know she was on Tucker's show a lot! wow! I wonder can I find any clips online? I'm sure many have posted links before and I never looked. Catching up now! This is great!

Oh wow, 4 years ago she was there even! About Obama's bathroom bill in Feb 2017 https://youtu.be/K7NPhGYM0WA

On Biden's EO in January: https://youtu.be/0FZ7HFMJGdQ She's great. Tucker lets her talk too. And she gives the 11th Hour Blog address! Why are there so few signatures here? https://womensdeclaration.com/en/ 15,000? It should be 15 MILLION by now.

Oct 2019 Telling Tucker about women's sports; she corrects Tucker that many on the Left DO care https://youtu.be/NVx8WCw3hG4

What's happening IMO, at least in the US, is that people who were just going about their lives, with the constant and ever-loudening hum of gender ideology as background noise from the media, their kids' schools and entertainment, are now waking up.

When confronted by the insanity that it is now considered outrageous to state basic biological truths, and as they themselves start to be affected, a huge chunk of normal Americans will push back. And vote for Trump 2024.

[–]our_team_is_winning 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

And vote for Trump 2024.

The man who welcomed "Caitlyn" Jenner into the women's bathroom in Trump Tower? I reckon he'd consider it a victory just to keep men out of women's sports.

Nobody is talking about anything else, and to me the toilets, changing rooms, locker rooms are far more an issue. Plus the redefining of basic language and totally crazy shit like AGP wanting to waste a gynecologist's time (and another woman's appointment) to have "his cervix" examined.

But the TRA have already taken hold of the narrative. "If you don't support TWAW, you are a bigot against LGBT. Stop trying to erase LGBT. LGBT rights are human rights. Only bigoted women are against LGBT rights! TERFs are responsible for thousands of TWOC being murdered!"

[–]BEB[S] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I think the tide is turning.

I also think Trump doesn't give a shit about women's rights at all. It was his administration that did all the "pro-women" things like save Title IX and that's because he stuffed it full of conservatives.

But conservative voters who don't want Equality Act-type legislation give credit to Trump, and will vote for him again partially because they give him credit, which he doesn't deserve.

We really do have to marvel that TIMs are so triggered by basic human biology that any mention of the fact that they don’t have the necessary equipment to be women must be punished and scrubbed.

I wonder if most of the public realise that trans identified people have created a bubble reality where biological sex isn’t real or if they need to wait until TRAs try to trans their kids to see how destructive this whole mess really is.

Seriously - the last kids in my family aren't going to private university because of the brainwashing. State school for one and no gender nothing classes, trade school for the other.
