"while women who believe women should be wives and mother only are out there fighting for all of our rights."

This a gross mischaracterisation of the modern day conservative position for most parts of the western world.

My mother was a conservative Christian women who set up our town's first and for many years the only abortion and pregnancy counselling service. Free to use for anyone. As it was UK law that all women who sought an abortion must be referred for counselling before and after the procedure, my mother dealt with all the abortions in a town of 300,000 people and the highest rate of teenage pregnancy in the country. I don't think you could even imagine the number of women she helped. It was so many that she provided counselling for a number of my female friends.

My mother dedicated her life to giving women sexual health advice and support if they wanted an abortion. Although abortion was not something she felt was always the best option, and she dearly prayed to live in a world where it wasn't required, she felt it was her duty as a conservative and Christian to educate young people on how to have safe sex and to support women during pregnancy and abortion.

And you go and say she only believed women for good for being wives and mothers?

I'm so angry I'm not going to comment how I feel about your bigoted statements any further.

I suggest you take a look at some other points of view. Try listening to see conservative female youtubers like Lauren Chen. These women identify as conservative and they wouldn't agree with your statement at all.

My mother wasn't different at all, she was a typical conservative women.

And the reason feminist movements are dwindling is because they are too busy infighting with women and allied men as a whole, thus cutting them off from new members and narrowing it's appeal across the political spectrum.

I, like many others it seems, find this elitist, self-righteous snobbery and the consequent slander it has produced to be intolerable. Especially from a group of women claiming to want to work these women, but then quickly bitch about them and misrepresent them behind their backs.

OP here: I don't know how you got this from what I said, but perhaps you should re-read my actual words?

    This is what you said:

"while women who believe women should be wives and mother only".

I have not misrepresented anything at all. That was a totally disingenuous description of the views of the majority of the conservative women involved in this particular struggle. Those women who may actually hold to those beliefs would be such an insignificantly tiny minority that it is simply slanderous to characterize these conservative women as a whole with that summary of their beliefs. It is an example of snobbish and conceited behavior and not one that encourages any sort of helpful union across the political divide. That is probably the reason people up-voted my comment.

As to your remark on not attacking the person; calling out poor behavior in someone's argument is not a personal attack. I have made absolutely no ad hominen attacks against you. I have taken some poetic liberties with the manner in which you have said this, but this was to illustrate the dismissive stance you have towards women who identify as conservative.

And whether my perspective is male or not, I know how to spot someone who is being disingenuous and unfair.

Lastly my mother was not an abortion activist. She was a therapist. And I am saying to you exactly what I think she would have said to you. She was deeply concerned by this assault on women's safety and rights and I am continuing this struggle in her memory with the opinions and beliefs she held.

I am not going to waste any more time on this. I have an Equality Act, an AMERICAN Equality Act, to defeat. Best of luck.

Good luck, and I mean that sincerely. I hope the conservative women you will find yourself marching with are more open minded to your beliefs than you have been to theirs.

You're right to focus. It's hard to change conservatives and they're not the ones that we have to attempt to reach, anyway.

In the US, conservatives are the ones saying, "Oh heck no" whereas "Progressives" have not only swallowed the gender Kool Aid, they're peeing it out and trying to force it down the throats of the rest of us.
