NY Post Story About a "Woman" -- Does Not Disclose TiM Status

The top trending headline on the New York Post website right now is "Haven't got a glue: Woman claims she 'accidentally' applied adhesive to hair." I did a double-take because the picture attached to the story clearly showed a man, and to my dismay the full story continued to describe the person as a woman without noting that the author was referencing a self-identified gender identity. This surprised because usually there is a clarification somewhere in the article and because the NY Post, owned by Rupert Murdoch, is not known for being progressive or "woke."

Are we that foregone now that journalistic standards no longer require the publications to disclose such material facts as whether a "woman" is really a man? Such changes in mass media are helping to blur the line between sex and gender further and normalizing ignoring the reality of sex. I feel like we have lost the media war big time.

Well, I don't think I saw one story where the Capitol One hacker was referred to as male, and the most dangerous US Capitol rioter was also not referred to as male, nor even as a "transgender woman" in almost every media piece I read on him.

At some point, the gas-lighting will be too much, and if women, especially women on the Left, protest loudly, it will provide cover for all the normies to protest too, and we will be done with this bullshit.

But we need to speak out. EVERY SINGLE TIME THEY TRY TO GASLIGHT US. WE NEED TO SCREAM, NO.

His name is Jeremy Watkins and he calls himself Jessica Watkins. He, ex-military, was part of a group who was going to do real damage at the US Capitol. Almost all media, and the prosecutors, referred to him as a woman. This was about the only article where it was mentioned that Watkins had previously had a man's name.

I remember seeing a few people on here concerned that crimes committed by trans identified men would be lumped into the crime statistics for women and perhaps begin to skew the data. I didn't think it was likely to happen because even if they didn't "misgender" the person in the article they specify that the individual was trans.

If not differentiating trans men/women from men/women becomes widespread it might actually happen.

Also, how do you accidentally use gorilla glue at this point? Come the fuck on, this guy obviously heard about the first idiot.

I saw that story and wondered if it was a man too. Fucking hideous, like we can see your face, we aren't fooled. Now I have seen "masculine" women but the level of denial with these ugly ass men is almost funny. This one seems stupid doesn't really matter if they are a man or woman... Just wow.

I'm not your mommy, but I am feminist, and immediately calling someone's appearance into question just because they're roleplaying as a woman, as if how pretty they are in any way goes against their claims to womanhood, shows your misogynistic bias.

People wouldn't believe that they pass or are women in the first place if we didn't already live in a society where woman = femininity. If your main argument against men who claim to be women is "They're too ugly to be women because only women can pull femininity off well!" then that not only opens the door to any man who doesn't have masculine features and who can pass to call himself a woman, but also legitimises oppressive femininity as a measure of how female someone can be, as if femininity only looks disgusting on men.

I have been judged my whole life and made to feel less of a woman. If they want to join up they can feel that same shit.
