I hate to say it, but in my experiences in activism, some of the most fervent, and sometimes the most effective in terms of publicity, are a bit "off."

The thought occurred to me he was doing this on purpose in order to obtain donations from someone who had a problem with the "f" in "t e r f".

I don't know anything about him beyond his publicity stunts, and then rumblings that GC women were mad at him. He does have at least one female child so maybe that's his primary motivation - not feminism per se, but just keeping his child safe and giving her the same advantages males receive?

I imagine some of the men who are fighting gender ideology might find any association with "feminism" or self-proclaimed feminists as problematic in terms of their strategy. People like Chris might not get the monetary donations from anti-gender-ideology techie dude bros and other rich men if they see some kind of "feminism" behind the resistance. Some people will literally shut their ears off if they smell a whiff of "feminism" when it comes to arguing against gender extremism, which might be part of the reason people aren't listening to arguments against it in general. If that was the reason he was culling his twitter feed, I wish he had done it in a different way.

I have no idea what's up with Chris, because I wasn't paying attention - I just see his tweets if someone links to them. He might be the go-it-alone, my-way-or-the-highway type.

My point is that ACT UP was very successful by pulling publicity stunts, and Chris is doing just that, so 1) good and 2) as many of us who can, need to also start making NOISE.

Everyone - Call a politician. Put up a yard sign. Talk to your book, gardening, gaming club. DO SOMETHING.
