If they can say they won't allow biological males into womens' sports, how do they define "biological male?" How would that definition both include biology and exclude trans women?

Therein lies the rub, huh?

The Bidenites have made themselves look ridiculous with this statement, and given the GOP the opportunity to challenge the Democrats on their stances on climate change and COVID, because if Democrats think that transgender "women" are not biological males, they obviously have no business claiming to be the Party of Science.

And seriously, COVID on average affects more males and affects males worse than females, so Biden's nomination of TiM Rachel Levine, a man who obviously thinks that biological sex is a choice, is about as unscientific as it gets as COVID itself obviously doesn't think that biological sex is a choice (and I know that viruses aren't "alive"...;-)

given the GOP the opportunity to challenge the Democrats

But they won't. They will both happily ride the Trans Train and any train that comes with millions in bribes. A few will speak up -- Tulsi on the Left, maybe Rand Paul on the Right-- but at the end of the day Big Pharma owns them both.

I presume "Rachel" Levine has to go through a Senate confirmation hearing, and if these men would stand up and shout "what the HELL is this?" about his woman costume, we could finally put an end to this. But they won't. They will ALL sit there ignoring the 800 lb gorilla in the room.

I've called my Senators about Rachel Levine. I point out that not only does Levine support the Mengele-level experimentation of puberty blockers, but he also thinks that biological sex is a choice, and that's not an effective belief to have when you're partially in charge of the nation's health.

I'm not pinning all my hopes on GOP lawmakers, but a lot of them are standing up in regards to women's sports, on both the state level and in the US Congress. I'm hoping sports will peak the US populace and then lawmakers will have to listen to us or feel our wrath at the ballot box.

You have much more faith in the political process than I do. And I hope you are right and positive things happen. I think my spirit has just been too crushed at this point.

I would like concrete answers to what this "I realized I was a girl" means. I read a few words from Levine and he was saying the usual "I knew I was a girl" or "realized I was a girl" "always known I was a girl" -- the usual line -- and I want one of them to actually explain what that means. I knew I was a girl because people around me told me I was and then I realized my body was a certain way. I never "felt" like one.

The GOP faces 99.9% open hostility from the media, and sadly there are still people who just swallow whatever the media feeds them without question. If a handful of GOP stand up and say this trans stuff is hurting women's sports, the media will label them "transphobic extremist far-right Christian fundamentalist Nazi white supremacist homophobes" (just pile on more slurs) and maybe even more people will hop on the "I stand with trans" bandwagon. Sorry to come across so "all is lost" -- I just can't take watching so many people parrot TWAW. It's like that time Flat Earthers suddenly attacked me on another forum. You can watch a ship go over the horizon, people!

Most men don't care about or ridicule women's sports to start with, so I'm not sure anyone in power is going to fight hard for us. I'm looking to Tulsi Gabbard, but I am afraid she will fold.

I actually think Tulsi Gabbard is a TERF, and from some of the stuff she said on that video she did when she introduced the save women's sports bill, I think she's read some rad fem or GC material.

I don't know what part of the country you live in but I alternate between a red state and a blue state, and I can tell you many people in the red state are not buying the trans stuff.

Which is why the gender lobby is going for the kids - got to indoctrinate them very young so that it becomes deeply ingrained and you never re-examine your childhood programming because it was trained into your brain at such a flexible stage.

I don't know if you looked at that PDF I posted about Seattle schools, but they were starting gender indoctrination kindergarten to third grade!

The battle really is in the grade schools - that's where we need to challenge the gender lobby, school by school if need be.

I want to trust Tulsi, but then I fear every day I will see a new interview where she's caved. How long until her own party censures her for not saying TWAW? I would love a full roll call on camera with each member of Congress looking directly into the camera and either saying "transwomen are men" or "transwomen are women" so all of us would know where they stand (and could start the recall petitions!) I don't like how they weasel out of it with "nobody should be bullied" or "transpeople have a right to use the bathroom" or "I support LGBT" -- none of those answers the question.

Yes, I did see your post about Seattle schools and it is obscene. Kids need science, math, logic, better writing skills, critical thinking (not Critical Theory!), skills for life and advancement, not sexual fetish brainwashing.

I'm not Catholic, but so many of my friends are, and what I saw there was the Church got them when they were young and put the fear of Hell into them, literally, and some of them grow up and reject the whole religion but that fear of Hell remains. Is that what the schools will do? Even if a kid gets older and realizes this gender stuff is BS, at the back of the kid's head that gnawing "born in the wrong body" thing will still be there?

I can tell you many people in the red state are not buying the trans stuff.

I'm in California, so it's a blue state with red pockets. But I notice when it affects them personally, some of the folks with Bernie stickers sound as "red" as any conservative, especially when it involves a homeless encampment or a huge spike in property crime. On the trans front it seems very trendy for parents to claim their child is genderspecial. What scares me these past two weeks is how Team Biden are outright calling for their opponents to be labeled "domestic terrorists" and one CIA creep was saying "use war tactics against them" -- I'm sickened that the Democrats have become the Woke Enforcement Brigade, that certain opinions are deemed "terrorism" (now that words are literal violence and all) -- are we going to have actual political prisoners in the USA? We've already got a generation of college students saying there should be LESS freedom of speech and they like the idea of being totally dependent on the government for life. I see Totalitarianism coming in a big way, and the Trans Lobby will be a big part of that. I feel like TRA are the ultimate test case -- if they can get people to swallow that, they'll accept anything. (Thanks for listening!)

I agree with just about everything you've said here.

Biden has shown that he's more than happy to trample on the Bill of Rights, but I never expected the Democrats, especially given their precarious showing in the 2020 elections, to go all Origins of Totalitarianism right after (like the DAY of) taking office.

The Capitol insurrection and the rise of Qanon and other far right lunatic movements should not be used as an excuse to launch a nebulous War on Domestic Terrorism, and infringe on the rights Americans hold dear.

I was against the Patriot Act after 9/11 for the same reasons.

And I agree that the enforcement of Gender Ideology could be the way compelled speech (and thought) comes to the US - it's already happened in California with the misgendering law.

The way gender ideology has been snuck into schools is very deliberately like the religious brainwashing of youth, and I do fear that these kids will grow up with gender ideology so firmly entrenched in their brains, and with the punishment to speak out against it so severe, that in one generation society worldwide will have been significantly reordered. Enough so that women will have lost all of our rights.

I'm hoping that this forced homeschooling (or Zoom schooling from home) has shown most parents that many bad things go on in the classroom, behind the parents' backs, and that they need to take a far more proactive role in their children's education.

I'm also hoping that it's human nature to long to be free, and that the more the government tries to dictate and mandate and crack down, the more people will push back and refuse to swallow this crap.

I'm also hoping that very few people are fool enough to go along with "men can become women" BS.

What I fear is the govt tightening its grip and pushing "domestic terrorism" laws against anyone who doesn't bow down to "AUTHORITY"!!!!

When Gavin Newsom is recalled, maybe that will be a warning sign to the other power-mad politicians?

Or he will sign some proclamation declaring himself supreme ruler of California for life and take away driving privileges from everyone who signed the recall petition.

I know we can't retain women's rights if we lose the rights to freedom of speech and assembly, and those are being reduced daily.

I agree that the Biden government's attack on free speech and free media (incl. social media) needs to be resisted by every American no matter their political stripe.

And that women will be very negatively affected if the government can shut free speech down or compel speech, because already California's government has tried it with the mis-gendering law.

North Korea, but better - all non male citizens to provide sex and other services on demand. Woohoo

Just like the leftists did. American education system has been a frog in a pot on the stove for over a century. Increased infiltration of leftist think each decade. They demonstrated it works. Use the schools. Hence the Party loyalists.

I was recently talking to an old school friend, also a "Leftist," and we realized that we too had been indoctrinated into some of our Leftists beliefs in our red state school in the 1970s. The state we were raised in was notoriously conservative, but we still got the full 1970s Everything Is Beautiful Hippie culture-type stuff burned into our young brains.

However, we're both scientifically-minded and are re-examining our beliefs, yet are still primarily coming back to old school liberal-type beliefs. And by "liberal" I don't mean the current US "Progressive"-type liberal.

I myself will go after anyone or anything, regardless of sex/race/religion/nationality/culture and I think that in itself is proof that I've rejected a lot of the hippy teachings I was indoctrinated into as a child. On the other hand, I'm firmly pro-environment and anti-war, so...

Fellow scientist. I do believe the "old" teaching of the scientific method was valuable to people beyond science. Kids have lost that lifeline now, too, I'm afraid.

[–]BEB[S] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I think the Powers That Be deliberately stopped teaching science and critical thinking in schools. They don't want a population that can think for itself.

They'll define it the same way they define women. Anyone who identifies as a biological male is one. if you don't identify as one, you aren't. Presto, now go score 8 goals against the girls' team.

I keep thinking they’re pushing this on purpose NOW when women are burdened with responsibilities due to the COVID lockdowns AND they’re doing it early in the administration so people will “conveniently” forget by next election season.

Someone will have to explain to Joe that the blockers and hormones only make 5% difference to make strength, leaving male upper body strength still roughly double that of female.
