It wasn't a "study." 182 males filled out an electronic questionnaire of 27 questions. The participants weren't selected randomly. The persons doing the research sought them out by publicly telling TIMs that uterus transplants for males seem like a real possibility, and asking TIMs who were interested in getting a uterus to fill out the survey.

The study [that wasn't a study] was initially advertised through transgender support groups, including the Beaumont Society, Translakes, SupportU, Allsorts Youth Project, Notts Trans Hub, Northern Concord, Transliving, Gendered Intelligence, and Press for Change. The study invitation was distributed through a variety of platforms, including websites, email, Facebook, Twitter, and Reddit. The only inclusion criterion was being a transgender woman older than 16 years.

A total of 182 transgender women completed the questionnaire; most women (109 [60%]) were aged 20 to 29 years. Most did not have children prior to transitioning (167 [92%]) and expressed a desire to have children in the future (171 [94%]).

The sign-up info, consent form for this "study" as well as the questionnaire itself are in an appendix, but I can't get the link to work. So will summarize.

The first questions are just info-gathering: age, sexual orientation, when did you go trans, etc. The others are statements to which the respondent had to answer

Strongly agree Agree Undecided Disagree Strongly Disagree

The salient questions were:

I believe that having periods would make me feel like more of a woman

If disagree/strongly disagree, why? ………..…………………………………………

I believe that having the ability to become pregnant, carry pregnancy and give birth to my own child would make me feel like more of a woman

If disagree/strongly disagree, why? ………..…………………………………………

I believe that I would feel more satisfied with my assigned sex after having a womb transplant

If disagree/strongly disagree, why? ………..…………………………………………

I believe that the development of womb transplantation will lead to greater patient happiness in transgender women.

If disagree/strongly disagree, why? ………..…………………………………………

I believe that if womb transplantation becomes an established treatment for women assigned female at birth who do not have a womb, it should be offered to transgender women once it is proven to be feasible.

If disagree/strongly disagree, why? ………..…………………………………………

I believe that if womb transplantation becomes an established treatment for transgender women, I would have been more inclined to freeze my sperm to use to create embryos to be used in my womb in the future

If disagree/strongly disagree, why? ………..…………………………………………

As part of womb transplantation, having a transplanted, functioning vagina as part of the procedure would most likely improve my sex life

If disagree/strongly disagree, why? ………..…………………………………………

As part of womb transplantation, having a transplanted, functioning vagina as part of the procedure would make me feel like more of a woman.

If disagree/strongly disagree, why? ………..…………………………………………

If, when you are ready to have children, and your partner was a female and had a functioning womb, would you still want a womb transplant yourself for the purpose of having children? n/a - I am sexually attracted to men

If disagree/strongly disagree, why? ………..…………………………………………

Note that they did not probe into any of the reasons behind any of the affirmative responses. Only the negative ones. That's some mighty rigorous research, boys. /s

most respondents agreed or strongly agreed that the ability to gestate and give birth to children (171 [94%]) and menstruate (161 [88%]) would enhance perceptions of their femininity.

LOL, at the idea that having periods and going through human labour and childbirth enhances "femininity." Nah, mate, menstruating is messy, inconvenient and for many girls and women very painful, sometimes disabling.

And pregnancy is no picnic. As for labor and childbirth, it's grueling, agonizing, sweaty, literally bloody hard work that is scary, can be life-threatening and often leads to injuries, some of which last years or for the rest of your life. It's a uniquely female experience that has fuck to do with men's "perceptions of their own femininity."

Pregnancy and birth are not about fluttering eyelashes, pouty lips, hair-flicking and head-tilting. Pregnancy usually involves exhaustion, nausea, piles, massive weight gain that's often hard to lose, back aches, swollen feet, stretch marks, insomnia, hot flushes, sweats, allergic reactions and so on. It requires giving up some of life's pleasures like drinking alcohol, eating shellfish, having a toot of cocaine, taking hallucinogenics and participating in contact sports and dangerous pastimes like rock climbing and sky diving. When I was pregnant back in the day, the rule was you couldn't even have any caffeine or do aerobics, and airlines could legally bar you from flying once you hit 28 weeks (now this restriction usually pertains only to international flights). And of course, when pregnant nearly all meds are verboten. So if you have headaches, catch a cold or the flu, you gotta suck it up and soldier on without remedies.

Labor and childbirth involve your water breaking, your uterus contracting and your cervix expanding in a usually hours-long process that's incredibly painful so that a big-headed baby can pass through the cervix into the vagina, or birth canal. And once the baby is in the vagina, you've still got push like hell to get him/her down and out and into the world. Which often involves tearing your vulva or getting it cut with a scalpel. Then you have expel the placenta or after birth. After all this, you might need to get your torn vulva sewn up with stitches. None of this is "femininity enhancing."

I honestly believe none of these guys would last 10 minutes going menstruation, pregnancy or childbirth. It would take too much time away from their mirror- gazing, selfie-taking and duck-lipping.

Similarly, high proportions strongly agreed or agreed that having a transplanted, functioning vagina would improve their sexual experience (163 [90%]), improve their quality of life (163 [90%]), and help them to feel like more of a woman (168 [92%]).

Nearly all respondents (180 [99%]) believed that uterus transplant would lead to greater happiness in transgender women. More than three-quarters of the respondents (140 [77%]) strongly agreed or agreed that they would be more inclined to cryopreserve sperm if uterus transplant became a realistic option.

Eew, they wanna gestate and give birth to children they've fathered with their own sperm. How creepy is that?

On the other hand, only 94% of these guys want a uterus transplant in order to have children. Which means 6% want to have a uterus just to have one. Presumably to "enhance their femininity." Or maybe so they can post pictures of their trophy uterus on social media.

Conclusions and Relevance: This study provides insights into the reproductive aspirations of transgender women and reports on their multifaceted motivation to undergo uterus transplant. The survey responses suggest that transgender women would choose to have female physiologic experiences, such as menstruation and gestation, as well as potentially having a physiologically functioning transplanted vagina.

This is textbook AGP per Blanchard. Just goes to show that today's young TIMs are highly likely to have autogynephilia regardless of their sexual orientation.

Our findings suggest that some transgender women may believe the potential benefits of uterus transplant outweigh the significant risks with which it is associated and may improve quality of life, happiness, and dysphoric symptoms while enhancing feelings of femininity.

A human uterus is a female reproductive organ whose purpose is perpetuating our species, not "enhancing feelings of femininity" in males. Or in females, either. FFS, it's not a fashion accessory.

And where are these guys planning to get all these female organs from, anyways?

Did you all just feel that big sudden jerk that you thought might be an earthquake? That was the planet stopping so that I could get off. Sorry if it scared you that it was an earthquake. I doubt they'll have internet on Mars. I'll be happier there. Carry on.

I find the comparison this study makes between the wishes of these men (who are of course refered as trans women or just women through the paper) with the wishes of infertile women ridiculous when, first, the former decided to castrated themselves before having children and, second, most of them admitted that even if they were partnered with fertile women they want to be ones who gestate the child.

Oh, and now they want vagina transplants, too! Can they get more creepy? Yes, likely they can...
