Duncan is quite active on Twitter now. Arty Morty has a great interview with him on YouTube as well.

I often think gay men have trouble understanding women's perspectives on gender critical issues. Gay men aren't sexually oriented towards women, so they don't understand autogynephilia. They don't relate to women's need for single sex spaces free of male bodies/ genitalia.

If I were to have to explain gender criticism to a gay male friend, I'd use Duncan as my go-to.

It's ridiculous that this article was kicked off of Medium. There's nothing transphobic about it.

Even after his "epiphany," Duncan was saying many things on Twitter that suggest misogyny and a total cluelessness about females, our anatomy, our history and our needs and perspectives.

Duncan used to make a lot of posts saying it was impossible for surgeons to create a believable penis facsimile in a female person, but it's quite easy for surgeons to create a vagina in a male person that is 100% functional and looks completely real.

I and many others would tell him that his views are indicative of a male, misogynistic view: only males see the sole function of a vagina is to be a fuck hole, and only males (and specifically males who've had no or very little sex experience with females) would say a fauxgina looks totally real and is indistinguishable from the real thing. Until it was pointed out to him, Duncan didn't even seem to understand that the vagina is an internal organ not easily seen.

This is probably not an unsurprising attitude from someone who has likely never interacted with female genitalia in his life...

Except, that is, for the female genitalia that probably helped give him life...

It's not you, it's just that I have no patience for the claim that gay men of course know nothing about female reproductive anatomy coz they've never come into contact with it. When the reality is, female reproductive anatomy is what brought everyone - including each and every gay male who has ever lived - into being in the first place.

Maybe Duncan was born by CS and thus can claim to be a "platinum gay," meaning a gay male who never has come into contact with a vagina, not even in birth. But still, given that nearly all of our species since forever was born out of a vagina, I think even vagiphobic gay males should have a basic understanding that the vagina isn't just a pocket of flaccid skin that only functions as a fuck hole.

There will never be an acceptable answer to this:

<I realised intuitively that men who don’t conform to gender stereotypes were going to be at risk in male spaces. However, as Marie pointed out, why should women accommodate biological men in their spaces, just because men are hostile to members of their own sex?>

TiM are a type of MEN. I can't take much more of that false term "transgender woman" -- I picture Marlene Dietrich in a tux, a woman dressing in typically male fashion. Not claiming to be a man, just borrowing the clothes.

You can't change sex. The end. Why are we still having this conversation? Women's bathrooms, changing rooms, and other sex-segregated spaces are SEX-segregated. Not "gender-segregated."

We should call the male ones 'transgender men' & the female ones 'transgender women', otherwise we become tools in their sexist psychological warfare.
