My fear is that the GOP will get into a "hold my beer" contest with them and try to out-woke them on trans issues. It'll be the Trans Party and the Now with EXTRA Trans Party. None of these politicians ever seems to notice that advancing things that are NOT popular is a bad idea.

It's like they know there is no choice really. Both parties take orders from big banks, corporations, whoever bribes them the most, etc. It's like Coke and Pepsi: both globalist corporations that sell high fructose corn syrup swill and dominate the market. You could decide to buy only a locally bottled specialty drink from a small company, but that's not going to bring down the giants. They won't even notice you've opted out.

That won't happen. Red states are passing laws protecting womens' and girls' sports, or at least are trying to. They will see this as ammo for a culture war that they can use to regain some of the women they lost b/c of Trump. The irony of women voters leaving him in part b/c he allegedly harassed women is that protesting his treatment of women elected the man who flung open the doors to allow men who will actually harass them into their spaces. Very few of these women, if any, would ever run into Donald Trump. How many will run into a man in a bathroom, changing room, gym locker room etc ? They'll have Biden to thank for it.

I think the Democrats could lose control of the WH, Senate and House over this trans nonsense.

I don't know. Don't people here find it strange that, in extremely conservative countries such as Pakistan or Iran, where homosexuality or blasphemy is punishable by death, they have 'transgender friendly' laws?

They'd rather think people are born in the 'wrong body' than acknowledging homosexuality, because it strengthen their idea of sex roles and sex stereotypes thus 'traditional family'. Only in the west that stuff is deemed 'a queer struggle' when it has absolutely nothing to do with sexual orientation.

There's a lot of this, I think. Even in the west I suspect a lot of people think of trans stuff as "queer" and some of the support is underlying transphobia and confusion about sex stereotypes.

I think right now they're either "captured" to quote a few political commentators - meaning they're surrounded by so many woke nutjobs they feel like they have no choice but to do this. That, or they're counting on the trans being such a tiny number that women and girls will comply with their tyranny.

But yes, the QAnon comparison is apt. I get so annoyed with liberal friends/family who mock those silly far-right conspiracy nuts. Guess what, leftists? QAnon types believe that boys have penises. And trans ideology is MAINSTREAM in left-leaning circles. People never see the crazy in their own backyards.
