I use "woman" to ~include~ everyone with a period, and "man" to include everyone with a dick. There's your 🌈🌈inclusive🌈🌈 language, hope that helps!

I vaguely remember reading in an article (or it might have been a podcast) that the critical theory notion of 'smashing the binary' involves breaking open the inferior class to include elements of the superior class (and all binaries have these two classes) and not the other way around.

It is true, gender neutral language will benefit men's rights activists the most and hurt men in general the least, at same time it will hurt women and minorities the most and not benefit them at all.

I'll have to do some looking to see if I can find what you read/heard, because that's an interesting bit of info. Thanks for mentioning it!

That is, the inability of the patriarchal subject to relate to anything that differs from itself in without imposing its own projections onto it. As we’re all well aware from our interactions out there, what informs this inability to grant reality to a difference – and to allow that the purportedly ‘inferior’ term of a ‘binary’ might exist as its own difference – is good old fashioned patriarchal narcissism. A way of relating to anything that differs to itself only through an inverting mirror – and that cannot conceive there could be any other way of relating across difference.

derived from here perhaps? Great writing that compares trans adherents to parts of French Feminism.
