It's standard.

I've also seen assorted black academics get called white supremacists.

It's been about the worst thing you can call someone for so long, that it sends a lot of classic liberals running from a source if it's waved around.

It's started to lose its sting. If everything is far right... Nothing is.

Indeed, and it's true about a lot of the mud that is slung around these days. When things like mathematics are racist, or 'ridiculing [a] partner's gender identity' (whatever that means) is abuse, or words are 'literal violence', then these concepts become very diluted and 'cheapen' actual instances of racism, transphobia or violence.

This is what I find so disgusting about it. Kids are comparing someone hurting their feelings online to Nazism and segregation and slavery. Real people died during the actual history of those events, real families were torn apart and culture and language lost for generations. But forgetting someone's pronouns, totally comparable, they aren't just a self-absorbed ignorant narcissist.

Holocaust rationalisation is a small step away from holocaust denial.

I don't care. You can label any people who disagree with you as "nazi" or "far-right" so much before the words lose their meanings.

To be honest, I'm bothered more by the mischaracterization of TRA as anti-capitalists by several of its critics despite the fact transgenderism is one the most neoliberal things I've seen. Seriously, they have big donors, the support of Big Tech and many mainstream media, queer theory was born into the exclusive and super expensive universities of the first world (and I would argue that you have to be pretty privileged to be able to pretend that sex is a meaningles social construct), surgeons and Big Pharma are eager to profit from cosmetics sex surgeries and hormones, cancel culture and many of the laws they propose affect the more vulnerable populations the most, etcetera. They are not anti-capitalists.

I’m not from America. I’m more left than Bernie Sanders. Still, if I say something (like criticizing Obama) I get called a right winger.
