Like half the people who were ID'd as "historical lesbians" before trans visibility started to go mainstream are very clearly transmasculine to at least some degree - like, ok, there's ambiguity, but, it seems like the more explicit the transmasculine identity, the more the guy gets claimed as a lesbian specifically

What the fuck are they even talking about? How could you possibly distinguish between someone being "transmasculine" and just a woman that took part in some activity or owned objects considered masculine?

The more "dykey" the woman, the more likely they say she was a man.
