I believe there's been similar findings in the work place.

It tends to be the people with the most responsibilities in companies, those towards the top, who think they have the most stress but when they test for physical markers of stress it's actually those with the lowest scope for self determination who have the most stress.

While choice and responsibilities seem very stressful they don't have the same bad effects on the body that stress due to feeling trapped or not in control of your own life has.
