Evidence he's a "TRA apologist"?

His recent interview with Joe Rogan and his article about trying to produce a documentary on Martina Navratilova and trying to defend her suggests otherwise.

I'm not the one saying GG is a "TRA apologist," but his gut instinct seems to be to cheerlead for the stunning and brave and to slag off women. His support and admiration for Martina N seems to be coz she's gay like he is and he looked up to her when he was growing up. If she were not a gay rights icon, I doubt he'd have her back or even noticed her at all.

Women don't seem to matter to Greenwald. Unless, that is, they are women with penises.

Greenwald on Chelsea Manning in January 2018:

While her whistleblowing made her a hero around the world, Manning has also now become an icon of LGBT equality and transgender rights with an act of profound bravery that at least matches, if not surpasses, her whistleblowing. She announced her transition and demanded the dignity and treatment to which she was entitled, while she was imprisoned in the middle of a sprawling U.S. military base, in a brig at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.

Greenwald on JK Rowling on Twitter in June 2020:

Regardless of one's views on the trans/TERF debate, JK Rowling's victimhood complex is suffocating & narcissistic.

JK Rowling Defense Twitter is one of the most bizarre corners of this website I've encountered, which is saying a lot.

The next day, GG slagged off British feminists and the entire UK for twigging to and discussing the conflicts between the demands of TRAs and women's rights:

I'm genuinely interesting in understanding how and why the UK became the epicenter - Ground Zero - for anti-trans fanaticism. Other than the fact that a failed, collapsed, former Empire needs something to do, I'd fascinated by any good theories about why it's based there.

Here's an attempt to explain the British pathologies that caused the UK -- and specifically its centrist/liberal media -- to become Ground Zero for anti-trans fanaticism. Reading UK websites, you'd think trans people were their greatest societal plague:

Interesting, thanks for pulling that together.

I almost forgot about Bradley Manning and it kind of makes sense that they'd have each other's backs over that whole story.

I do wonder if his views have opened up a bit more recently after seeing the TRA backlash first-hand.
