If with trans females you men larping as women than yes per definition they have an advantage. Because they are men. You cannot change your biology. Males are simply build bigger and stronger than women. All men who participate in women’s sports win. Sometimes they hold back so they can tell everyone when they win the big ones, that they don’t have an advantage. That’s it.

Transition does change your biology, especially if you do not undergo male puberty.

Most trans females would not win in any sport against cis females or even come close.

First off getting blockers doesn’t change biology. It only stops growth. The born biology cannot be changed. They’re born male and will die male, no matter how much estrogen they will pump in their body and no matter if/how they will mutilate their genitals (a neovagina is nothing more than a cut up penis). That’s tra Logic right there And Those males haven’t been around sports that much. The men you see in women’s sports have “transitioned” in adulthood though. And even if the next gen of men whose bodies were mangled with before puberty hit, have seemingly no advantage over women, they are still men. They have no place in women’s sports or places. (And no they haven’t been socialized as girls either, making them female somehow, they were just boys who simply wanted everyone to think they were the opposite sex.)

In gymnastics, a male person competing against females would have an advantage on vault and most of all on floor. Men and women use the same apparatuses and for the most part compete the same families of gymnastics with the main differences being that men do flares/extensions and not leaps/turns, which women do on floor. The vault is the same other than the men’s vault is set slightly higher.

They would have a disadvantage on beam and I would believe a disadvantage on bars (but the nature of this event constantly evolves way more than the other event). The disadvantage on beam would go away if they got genital surgery because the main concern is splitting the beam (falling with your legs on either side of the beam). Bulky muscles would make bars more difficult.

The overall effect of a trans woman in women’s gymnastics is that they have the power to erase the once-in-lifetime accomplishments of Simone Biles. And an influx of trans women may have the effect of raising the vault table.

A male would have a disadvantage on the beam because of the higher centre if gravity in men

True higher center of gravity is harder, which is why some juniors and early seniors have big tricks. But male gymnasts, while taller on average than female gymnasts, still tend to be pretty short. And there are great female beam workers on the taller side of female gymnasts too. For reference, Sanne Wevers (5’1”); Chellsie Memmel, Tabea Alt, and Ellie Downie (5’2”); Aliya Mustafina, Nastia Liukin, Catalina Ponor, Giulia Steingruber, and Eythora Thorsdottir (5’3”); Pauline Schäfer, Giorgia Villa, Marine Boyer, Elisabeth Seitz, and Sarah Finnegan (5’4”); Svetlana Khorkina and Nina Derwael (5’5”); Maggie Nichols and Lieke Wevers (5’6”); and Kyla Ross (5’7”) who are around as tall as male gymnasts tend to be.

For reference, Carlos Yulo is 4’11”. Jonathan Horton is 5’1”. Ciao Ruoteng is 5’2 1/2”. Kenzo Shiran, Oleg Verniaev, and Yul Moldauer are 5’3.” Kohei Uchimora, Artur Dalaloyan, Fabian Hambüchen, and Daiki Hashimoto are 5’4”. Alexei Nemov and Nikita Nagornyy are 5’6.”

My apologies to the OP (!) if I posted the same YouTube (I can't access YouTube from this browser correctly so can't check).

Thanks, OP!

This is the study which most clearly shows that the advantage male puberty gives is not removed or even much affected by hormone therapy. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31794605/
