From Jane Clare Jones:

Really really pleased to announce that the new quarterly feminist magazine I’ve been working on is now taking subscriptions! The first print edition will be out at the end of the month.

I hope there is a resurgence of real feminism, not this lib fem tripe, but closer to 2nd Wave.

Wouldn't it be ironic if trans activists didn't destroy women's rights but rather strengthened them? And women's solidarity internationally too?

I hope so. I don't think the Trans Dogma is sustainable long-term. People are going to get tired of their demands sooner or later, but I fear feminism may fall alongside it during the backlash.

As I've mentioned, I have a whole bunch of 2nd Wave friends who I've been telling about what's going on with the gender lobby. They had no idea.

These are now accomplished women retired or semi-retired and ready to take up the feminist battle again, because they will not see women's rights lost.

Good to hear. I've just been feeling very pesimistic lately because of this issue and all the other things that are happening. 2020 surely has been a chaotic year.

I'm hoping that the US is fully awake soon, because that might stop other countries where gender ideology hasn't taken hold yet, from going forward with the madness.

The domino effect - the UK rejects gender ideology, the US population rejects gender ideology, other populations see the backlash in the US and UK, and stop gender ideology before it starts. Fingers crossed.

This has been a miserable year, for just about everyone...BUT WE HAVE TO FIGHT, WE HAVE TO SPEAK OUT, because this battle won't be won unless we do.

I'm hoping on the domino effect because it seems it will be a while before the backlash starts in my country, even though here you can legally change your sex without any kind of requirement since 2012. Besides the general ignorance about transgender ideology, there are far too many problems to worry about here in Argentina. For instance, our economic situation was already bad even before the pandemy started. Talking about politics is also a minefield due to the increasing political polarization that has been happening in these last years (to give you a idea, think Democrats and Republicans in the US levels of polarization). TRA has also gained support of different political parties to different degrees.

You also hardly find any criticism of the Trans Dogma in major news media, regardless of political leanings. In fact, the only people who are speking out against it are a few feminists and some zealous catholics. And this latter group, in my view, are muddling the waters even more, as they have already coined the term ideología de género (gender ideology). But this gender ideology they speak of is a wider concept than transgenderism because they are also against other things like homosexuality, a possible legalization of abortion, or violence against women laws (because, apparently, femicide is discriminatory towards men or something like that…).

I've read that Argentina was the first or one of the first countries that the gender lobby got legislation passed in. Someone did a thread on it somewhere. Let me see if I can find it because it exposed the gender lobby's tactics.

Yes, indeed Argentina was the first country in legalize sex change whithout a diagnostic or hormonal treatment or surgery. I think to this day, it's the only country which does. I know because local newspapers love to brag about it... These last weeks, I've been reading about how this was possible and found some of their tactics. In short, they used the LGB as shield, made a lot of lawsuits, and minimized the impact of the law saying it was only to make their lives easier. They didn't asked for being included in women-only spaces at first, that came later, once gender identity was already enshrined in law.

The gender lobby is so tricky and they're playing the long game. But again, as women wake up to what's happening, many will not be silent.

The US is a weird place, but at the moment, conservative women are in full attack mode against the gender lobby, and those conservative women can be tigresses, so yes, I think fairly soon women in the US, from across the political spectrum will wake up, and many will push back and once that is out in the open, other countries will be less likely to fall into the gender lobby's trap.

I really enjoyed the article Towards a New Understanding of Caring. I look forward to reading more.
