If he's really intersex he has grounds for feeling different.

But more generally I wish we could scrap the idea that being GNC means that you're not a "real" woman or "real" man. I have found it personally easier to conform to gender expectations but for me it's about pragmatism, not identity. With a different field of expectations I might easily behave differently. I wish more people saw it that way (not viewing gender roles from an essentialist perspective).

Being GNC means that you are acting/looking as you want and not as sexist stereotypes wants you to act. In other words being GNC is something that should be norm, and should not be even called GNC. Man sitting with kids while wife is making money is GNC for both of them, it should not be something "rebellious" or GNC. Woman working as an engineer is not something "rebellious" and GNC, it should be just a normal thing.

So most men in army (military) are non-binary or transwomen? Or division major and colonel were all time calling us "pussies" and "girls", were saying we are not real men, but just a parody of a men and that we must learn to be real men, or "stay pussies as we are".
