I have the same thought. I'm going to tweet it with my tiny bird voice.

That is fantastic! Please ask Biden too.

I'm going to call Harris's office. I thought she did really well in the debate.

However, I was texting with a couple friends as we watched the debate and I was telling them (both women) what Harris and Biden want to do to Title IX (change it back from "sex" to "gender identity") and what the Equality Act will do to women's rights, sports, dignity, privacy and safety if Biden wins the presidency and the Dems win the Senate.

But then, the Republicans have their own Equality Act in the US House already (the Fairness For All Act), so both parties are out to set our rights back a hundred years, and make our lives very dangerous every time we leave the house.

My ballot is sitting on my kitchen table laughing at me. How can I vote for a party that takes pleasure in promoting men in women's sports, women's prisons etc... ?How can I vote against all the women that will need abortions in the future? 4 days later I'm still staring at that envelope.

[–]Spicylikegumbo 15 insightful - 1 fun15 insightful - 0 fun16 insightful - 1 fun -  (25 children)

Abortions aren't going anywhere. If they wanted to do it, they would have done it a long time ago. Abortion is brought up every year. It's a political scare tactic. Gender identity politics however is real. It's spreading like wildfires. You can actually get fired for being gender-critical. That's a bigger problem to me. I do not want my womanhood being erased, and I don't want biological men in spaces created for me.

I think that too! I'm glad you said it. It's already happening at the state level, "gender identity" being a "protected characteristic" -- if it happens at the federal level..... it can't! No way do the majority of Americans believe TWAW. No way. Not even close. But they will try to sneak it through and the media won't report on it. People will hear "Equality" and not realize it's the "Insanity Act" -- I want Kamala on record answering "What is a woman?" I want EVERY politician on record saying it. Let them show how Woke they are and if they are on the Trans Demands Payroll.

Yep. Local and state elections are so much more important imo for reasons you stated.

Edit: And sadly they won't bring up gender stuff. They will probably lump it all under LGBTQ and act like that act is all about gay and transgender rights and then spew stuff about don't ask don't tell. And these politicians never have personal stories. No real transgender friends or family stories they can share. I actually had a transgender friend years ago, and the he/she didn't think twice of coming to the women's restroom. The he/she was a lawyer too. Never since knowing him/her did he/she speak of inequality.

Please call Harris and the office of every other politician who's voiced support of the Equality Act or the Republican Fairness For All Act.

The more of us who call these politicians and ask them "What is a woman?" the more they'll realize they can't sneak these women-hating bills through without letting the public know, and that the backlash will be fierce if they do.

These politicians are telling us that gender identity is something concrete, and should have legislation based on it, no matter that gender identity is, by its very nature, based on feelings, while biological sex is subjective.

That's madness. But, using high-minded wordage like "EQUALITY" and "FAIRNESS FOR ALL" disguises what the legislation is - an attempt to solidify under law men's feelings over women's rights and safety.

Politicians need to know that (to use SJW terms) WE SEE THEM, and we won't be quiet.

Gov Cuomo, the official who sent sick people into nursing homes, is on the record via his twitter account.

Found that while looking for some gender tweets earlier today.

[–]BEB[S] 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Cuomo's brother, the truly annoying CNN host - (Chris?) caused a controversy a few years ago by Tweeting something along the lines of if a 12-year-old girl saw a TiM in the bathroom it was the 12-year-old's fault if she got upset.

As so many of us have noted, TWAW gives Lefty men the chance to scream their misogyny without punishment, instead they get pats on the back and WOKE points.

[–]redditbegay 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Did he Actually say that? Geese. He might have been the cnn anchor who told people theyre not allowed to read the wikileek emails, 'and they have to hear it through him'. I'm so utterly sick of the prevailing bias across most of our news outlets, we really need a Cronkite these days.

It's disturbing for how long the 'professional' political class on the left has laid claim to supporting social causes when literally every single one of their politicians (save for bernie) was against LGBT rights their ENTIRE careers. [Hillary even told ellen to stuff it with her desires to marry Portia]. IMo their grabbing onto the T excessively is just the latest political graft to try and convince people they stand for anything besides their malicious corporate donors; at least the repuglicans are honest about not giving a shit about any of us.

We need a real third party in this country. It's angering that the democrats are trying to destroy the Green party right now.

Just found another example of the dem party doing this type of thing in 2016, I guess it isn't a new strategy for them. F * c k the corporo democrats.

[–]BEB[S] 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Cuomo tweeted it and just a few days ago a GC Twitter user brought it up again and showed Cuomo's tweet, which is why I remembered.

The US news media is absolutely useless, but the ones that really bother me are the Lefty "independent" media that pretends to be above bribery but is carrying the water for Trans, Inc., due to the foundation funding they're receiving from the lobby.

Democracy Now! is the perfect example of that. I long for the day when Amy Goodman is exposed.

The Green Party in some part of Europe or the UK changed women to "non-men" and I am not kidding, so I'm not really on board with them either.

Good find. Of course he mostly wants to take a jab at Trump and then states what the law says. He doesn't actually say TWAW or that he personally believes it. I wonder if he would?

[–]redditbegay 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Thanks, OurT!. I would bet if he was on his brother's show and kamala asked him about TW he would say, I quote "YASS GIRL! ALL PRETENDER MEN ARE REAL WOMEN! THEY CAN BECOME PREGNANT JUST LIKE YOU CAN" -Kamala would then give him a high five, (the camera would slow pan down to her timberlands) and then, if Cuomo had a spot for her on a campaign with increasing political power, she would make like Willy Brown right on the show. (IMO)

i used to say that without a definition of woman, there can be no women's rights.

Party A is OK with the definition, they're just not ok with the rights. Party B thinks the rights are ok but the definition is not.

States have had more influence over these issues. For example, I left a red state that did not allow single women to have IVF. Basically I had no chance of being a mother in that state. I moved to a blue state and even though I have more reproductive rights, the gender identity stuff will gradually complicate life for me as a woman.

So I guess I will move back to a red state once I achieve motherhood or no longer care about it.

[–]WrongToy 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Whoa, there's actually any state that disallows women from having ivf?

[–]CastleHoward 9 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 0 fun10 insightful - 1 fun -  (9 children)

You're right. My daughter is going to High School soon and I'm evaluating schools in our district. I've already had to rule out 3 schools because they can't guarantee single sex bathrooms and changing rooms. Catholic School seems to be my best choice. That is the state of the world.

[–]mharmless 11 insightful - 1 fun11 insightful - 0 fun12 insightful - 1 fun -  (7 children)

I am a male who used to perform non-teaching work for a large school district.

One of the reasons I left is that every year I was required to complete an online training where I had to read and sign a document that said I would not share any 'gender identity issues' with any of the child's parents or guardians. I also had to agree that any child would be permitted to go into the locker rooms of their choice, regardless of any discomfort this might cause other students. Failure to sign the paper would place me out of 'compliance' with district policy and able to be fired within the terms of our union contract.

If you are in a position to do so, I'd recommend a records request of a prospective district's staff training materials for the previous year, assuming your state has such a mechanism. This will show you exactly where their priorities are really at.

That goes against all you know to be right or true and right, I imagine. I've immigrated to the UK so it's a different process here.

[–]mharmless 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

It was the primary reason I left. Every time I signed that document I felt like I was selling off a piece of my soul for easy money and benefits. One day my wife and I were talking about our child and what we wanted to do for his schooling, and realized that if we were unwilling to send our own kid into this madness that continuing to work there anyway was in some small way consenting to these wrongs.

Wish I'd had the guts to try to be a whistle-blower, but the price is too high.

It is just staggering that this collective madness has been institutionalized, and in schools no less.

Just about every horny heterosexual teen boy would give their left nut to see a girl naked in the flesh and now the schools let them, no questions asked.

Just madness. And good on you for following your conscience!

[–]mharmless 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Yes, they would. Especially the less socially adept ones. Which conveniently seem to manifest this madness more often.

Thank you.

I posted on here a very recent study on the very high% of transgenders who are autistic. They also have higher rates of ADHD, depression, abuse, other mental health issues. And, of course, a huge % are just gay and would grow up to be happy healthy gay adults.

Here's the recent study, but there was one a few years ago that found an even higher rate of autism IIRC:

https://scitechdaily.com/transgender-and-gender-diverse-individuals-far-more-likely-to-be-autistic/

Also, PINK NEWS of all places, IIRC recently reported that transgenders have a higher rate of mental health issues. I didn't bookmark it because PINK NEWS, but you can probably find it.

You need to contact a journalist about that immediately.

The ultra religious were at the forefront of pornography, decrying its morals (in the early 2000's). They are right about allowing our children to have split restrooms, I would see what else they might be right about, but I dont have the interest in religion.

I think you might be right in terms of abortion rights: I remember when abortion was legalized in the US and ever since then it's been used by both parties to keep voters in line.

I actually know a few people who loathe Trump and the Republicans who voted for them because their promise to stack the judiciary with anti-abortion judges.

But most Democratic women seem to not know that the Equality/ Fairness For All Acts exist, much less the threat they present to women. If Democratic female voters did know they existed, then they'd have to choose between losing abortion and losing every other right, but they don't.

That pisses me off, because the Democrats are doing really well with women at the polls, all the while plotting to destroy our rights immediately after the election.

But again, the Republicans have their own Equality Act, so we lose our rights no matter who wins.
