What's amazing to me is that this woman's word salad has taken over the world. To me, that only proves that there is something much more sinister behind gender ideology than the "rights" of the tiny segment of the population that has gender dysphoria.

Jennifer Bilek ( The11thHourBlog.com) makes a case that the end goal is trans-humanism. I don't know. But something way bigger than I JUST WANT TO PEE is going on.

J Butler's ivory tower makes it easy for her to live in a theory cloud.

For the rest of us I just see this whole thing as biting us in the bum. "Life as a woman is so repressive... Well NYAH I am not a woman! Because i dont meet x yz socially constructed standard! Haha! Take that, the patriarchy! Can't catch me now!" Then a bunch of others started saying "Yes we are women! Bodies don't matter" and we were like oh but hang on...

Seriously.

Hey Judith Butler, try spewing your bullshit to the Nigerian schoolgirls kidnapped by Boko Haram (which literally means no Western secular education).

Maybe if they'd identified as boys they wouldn't have been ended up pregnant by their captors.

The only thing worse than Our JB is her fan club.

I enjoyed Butler at university. But theory like hers butts up against the materiality of the body. Sure in theory we can change social mores and constructions so that bodies are no longer oppressed on the grounds of reproductive function. But there is more to being female than reproductive function as we have learned. And more importantly this is such a privileged position to take. It's all very well to say everyone on the planet should be an atheist who can harness technologies to have whatever body they want BUT in reality?
