Their choice of name is never accidental. When they choose the name of a famous person they want us to think of them in the same way we think of that celebrity, eg: Jonathan Yaniv is now Jessica Simpson. When they take the name of someone they know personally you can be sure there is a bit of an obsession with that person. It is like they are walking around in their skin and the person whose name they took feels violated. When they steal the name of a child that they know it is a red flag the size of Texas and no parent should feel flattered that a man has chosen to appropriate their child's name 'because it's so pretty'. At no time does one of these sick people ever ask their namesake for permission to impersonate them.

It seems Yaniv only started calling himself Simpson after suing Kari Simpson of parents rights group Culture Guard (who helped a journalist sued by Yaniv) earlier this year. He might (also) be trying to harass her.

I thought it was the name of his "girlfriend" who was actually somebody trolling him?

100%. It seems like trans widows and exes sometimes have their names stolen by their now trans former partners who are obsessed with controlling them as part of a facet of their transition. They seem to do it to siblings, crushes, celebrities, etc. it is weird. Often they choose names that are age inappropriate. This isn’t a summation of what all T do, but what the extra concerning ones seem to do. This one’s in that bracket.

There was a famous case of a murderer or child rapist, I think in the UK, who became a TiM, after arrest IIRC, and took on the names of his victims. And no one could stop him because TWAW!!!!

I think anyone convicted of a serious violent crime or sex crime should not be legally allowed to change name.

Would solve a lot of problems.

For me, it just makes basic sense that anyone who has committed any crime should not be allowed to change their name, but especially the crimes you mentioned.

There's a case somewhere where a TiM who committed truly awful crimes is petitioning to change his name, and also change the law to allow it, and I think he's going to win. If I find it, I will post.
