You knew there was a 'but' though, didn't you?

Following a review of hate crime laws, the Law Commission said the majority of evidence it had seen related to misogyny but it would consult on whether “sex or gender” as a protected characteristic should cover women and men or women only.

Another word wrested from women. Making it official, women can not/shall not speak their own experiences.

I am deeply uncomfortable with hate crime legislation, because it always comes down to who decides what is hate.

In a country, the US, that has a president who wants to be a dictator, and might get his wish if the Republicans keep acting like the Politburo, would I be comfortable with Dear Leader Donaldo deciding what were hate crimes? No.

Hate crimes need to go.

When they were voted in we thought they would be used against gangs of racists hunting down people they didn't like not 2 neighbours who happen to be of different races getting in a fight over loud music.
