The writer of this article apparently didn't even bother to read Forstater's "transphobic" tweets.

And the comments were shut off to the article because they were "transphobic."

PUBLISHERS WEEKLY is so scared that its commenters will tell the truth about gender ideology that they censored the comments.

I am so sick of the media's lies and collusion. I have NEVER except for perhaps the run-up to Iraq War II, see the media flat out lie so enthusiastically and diligently.

It's really fucking insane. It's like the goddamn gestapo out there. Does the mainstream public not realize that our right to speak and dissent is being eradicated?

No because its not being reported by mainstream press

Even more sinister. I hope the public wakes up before it's too late.

There is pushback. Check out the Harpers letter that JK Rowling signed (search term "Harpers" "Rowling")

There's also a loose group that's referred to as the Intellectual Dark Web that is mostly former and current liberals concerned about Queer Theory, Critical Race Theory, post-Modernism, attacks on hard sciences, attacks on free speech...

Here are some names of people who are pushing back whose work you might want to read or follow on Twitter: Heather Heying, Colin Wright, James Lindsay, Helen Pluckrose, Douglas Murray, Debra Soh, online publications, Quillette, UnHerd, Uncommon Ground.

I vehemently disagree with them on some topics, and agree with them on others, but most of them are well-spoken allies against gender ideology.

Instead, Anderson wrote, Charis regularly spotlights transgender authors, including scheduling a virtual event that will take place on July 16 for two transgender authors of "transmasculine narratives" for children: Lexie Bean (The Ship We Built, a middle grade novel) and Tobly McSmith (Stay Gold, a YA novel). It also organizes support groups for trans teens and for parents of trans children.

And this is supposed to be a feminist bookstore. They're focused on erasing girls. It's disturbing how many books are getting published that feature pre-adolescent children being transitioned. There are apparently dozens of them. Middle school and elementary school and preschool.

This is a bloody nightmare. What the blazes is wrong with people. I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT PEOPLE BUY INTO THIS INSANITY

I can't believe it, either. Apparently no one has a problem with it. If you pull up these books about these little kids, all the reviews are glowing. You'd think conservatives would at least speak out, but none of them do. Maybe they're not aware. Are GC people not reading kids' books either? Books that promote medicalizing kids in grade school have 5 star reviews, no one questioning anything.

Its hard to get up to speed and I've been following this for a year. Without reading this I would never have known or even thought that books are being written for kids and are in libraries.

Yeah, and this is how the newest generation is learning about gender. Even if their school isn't teaching them this stuff, they read these books that are telling them all about these preteen kids who are identifying as trans and non-binary and how they are really not their birth sex. That they are really the opposite sex or no sex at all.

There used to be an article listing these books. I wish I had saved it because it had a list of dozens and dozens of them. There was one really bad one called Jack Not Jackie. I did find a critical review of that one here:

But there are tons more just like it, for all ages, starting in preschool.

"transphobia, homophobia, and misogyny are all fruit of the same poison tree and that you cannot fight against one of those oppressions without fighting against them all."

Imagine being this wrong. Supporting trans IS homophobia and misogyny. But then they follow with "You cannot profess to love queer and trans people and then demean us in the same breath." because the QT is all that really matters, isn't it?

Uh yeah, surely she will lose her sleep at night after this

Ah, yes, JKR's compassionate letter about trans people and women is hate speech, while 'punch terfs' is just what women deserve. ^-^
