Also, 14 in Germany is less of a blanket "age of consent", and more legal protection for teenagers of different ages, and there is still a line of seperation at 18. As far as I remember; unlike those people I don't google my country's age of consent every day.

In either case, it's not like we have a widespread culture of 40-year-olds casually dating 14-year-olds out in public, like some pedo-paradise these people imagine. I'm not even sure we have a good translation for "cradle robber", but maybe it's because we're German and just go "yo, what the fuck is wrong with you?" ... in German.

Exactly, the age of consent is 14 if both partners are under 18. Which seems pretty relevant, but of course doesn't fit into the narrative these guys (who are most certainly over 18) want to spread.

Men are animals with no little to no desire to evolve. Even among men who despise and want to kill pedophiles, the discussion often degrades into quibbling over the age cutoff. Over half of them will argue that having sex with younger teens is fine, and in the past, perfectly normal and natural. They believe that once a girl starts developing breasts she is no longer really a child and it isn’t perverse to be sexually attracted to her. Despite all of the still childish traits, physical and mental. Despite how due to those immaturities, she would still be damaged by adult sexual attention.

They will throw up distractions, like "What about an 18 year old and a 16 year old???" to seem reasonable. When I was in college, there was an 18-year-old guy from a small farming community who readily admitted to having a 13-year-old fiancée whom he would marry after graduation. He didn’t realize the general population would find that strange, and other than being seen as a bit weird it did not impact his ability to make friends. Then of course there are tons of cases of 20-something guys preying upon younger teens while local men do nothing.

It seems for a lot of men, their hatred of pedophiles is the same as their hatred of homos: they don’t want to consciously admit something about themselves.

Twitter is full of pedophiles too. They call themselves MAPs (Minor Attracted Person) and non-MAPs. The non-MAPs claim they won't act on their attraction to children.

How much are these virtue-signaling social media outlets actual cesspools? While GC women and Graham Linehan get kicked off Twitter for saying things as simple as "A man is not a woman" pedophiles on Twitter are given free reign to network and talk freely about their sickness.

I think what’s horrifying is that the law is the only thing the separates what pedophilia is to them. The age of consent could be 9 years old and they’d think it’s okay. They are pedophiles.

Last I knew Germany also had re-legalized farm animal brothels too. I've seen pictures. As an animal rights person, I was HORRIFIED. Until recently sex with dogs was apparently legal in Ohio, USA. All these "legal" things -- sex with children, sex with animals -- I suspect they got on the books in the first place because some male pervert was doing it, the community as a whole didn't approve, and the men in power wrote it down as legal. Imagine going through life with this appendage that you are driven to stick in inappropriate things all the time. Don't men KNOW not to stick it in children or animals?

That's not true. Bestiality is banned in Germany. Please double check these type things before posting them here, it helps no one if false sensational information gets spread.

(That said, I would agree that instead of just a fine, there should be jail time for it.)

I see that Germany has since updated the law as of late 2012. Is that being enforced? Legal anymore or not, enforcement is the issue. I see this website has updated it. Warning, do NOT scroll below the top text. Photos will scar a person for life. What it says about some countries thinking laws to protect animals are not necessary is most distressing. Apparently there is no EU wide ban on this form of cruelty.

A low age of legal consent is often for teens the same age. There can be a low age of consent with it still being illegal for an adult man to have sex with a teenage girl.
