I didn't realize that Australia cared so little for free speech. Not until this year.

There is no constitution or legislature for free speech in Australia unfortunately.

While there is no legislated right to free speech, the High Court of Australia has found that there is an implied right to freedom of political communication, primarily from sections 7 and 24 of the Constitution. However, it takes deep pockets to seek a judicial review of an administrative tribunal decision.
