I'm somewhat surprised that the women of that age and generation are putting up with such an intrusion. I'm a longtime competitive runner and these stories infuriate me - and I hate to say it but I don't think the sports' governing bodies are going to intervene on our behalf. I think it's going to take some organized passive resistance to end this - something like every woman withdrawing from the competition and/or, as another poster mentioned, regrouping to holding their own. It's terrible that the onus has been placed on us in the first place, but women need to stop being so nice.

I dunno if it's fair to say that all "women of that age and generation are putting up with" this shit. Many have been actively fighting it for years and decades, others just swallowing their rage and distress - like Chris Jenner did when Bruce went trans.

Fact is, tons of "women of that age and generation" have been dealing with autogynephilia and the MtF trans phenomenon because so many such women have been married to AGPs or know them in other contexts - eg their brothers, co-workers, fathers, sons, neighbors were/are AGP cross-dressers. I honestly don't know a woman in her 50s, 60s or 70s whose life has not been affected by male cross-dressers and who've never encountered any.

Amy Bloom wrote her article on male cross-dressers and their wives, "Conservative Men in Conservative Dresses" in 2002. Most of the couples featured, IIRC, were in their 40s and 50s - so they'd be in their 60s and 70s today. This type of male behavior is not new. All that's new is the boldness and social acceptance of it, and the preposterous idea that these men were "born in the wrong body," have been female all along, are actually women, and now constitute the most vulnerable, oppressed and important minority group in our culture and society.

Maybe they are intimidated like everyone else is. Women over seventy had difficult lives in that it was even more constrained than women like me in our sixties. They tend to use underground means to get what they want, they are not so out front. I do see the trans ideology movement as disrespectful of age as well, all part of the moral deterioration.
