Reading the news coverage, this is why I feel strongly that we should not refer to them as Transgender Rights Activists (TRA) because it implies that transgender activists are fighting for rights.

Except for housing and job discrimination, and a few other things that no one should be denied, transgender activists are fighting for their DEMANDS, not rights.

This girl had the right to use a bathroom, which was provided for her. She was DEMANDing to use the boys.

If we don't make that clear via our word usage, the vast majority of people who are not clued into this issue will think that it is RIGHTS these men are DEMANDing.

I now call them GITs - gender ideology tyrants.

It's entirely coincidental that in British English, git also means "an unpleasant or contemptible person."

Totally agreed. And we need to start referring to these "civil liberties" outfits by what they really are -- the ACLU is a Trans Demands Organization. I don't care if you supported them in the past, believing they fought for people's freedoms. Their mission now is to violate the sex-segregated spaces of both men and women and cater to Trans Demands. All I can think is that the $5 and $10 donations of common libertarian donors just paled in comparison to the multi million dollar bribes coming from James Pritzker types. There's been a lot of coverage in the conservative & libertarian press, & some coverage in the MSM by outliers like "60 Minutes," of how the ACLU has morphed into an authoritarian outfit that opposes free speech for all, & is now a proudly partisan political lobbying group that promotes only the "rights" & views of those who are in 100% agreement with the narrow agenda of the ACLU's current staff. I know a number of attorneys who have left the ACLU over its anti-women & other regressive policies.

I agree. I also think the word "transgender" is misleading. Most people who are not attuned to what is going on still think the word refers to what used to be termed "transexuals"-- people who are extremely dysphoric and have every intention of living full-time as the opposite sex. They don't know that the term "transgender" has been broadened to the point of meaninglessness to include people who are not dysphoric and who have no interest in transitioning. They do not know know that the movement is no longer about protecting a small minority of people but is now focused on dictating to everyone that all our lives be centered around gender, not sex. The movement is using the prefix "trans" to co-opt sympathy for a group of ideologues who are not at all sympathetic. It is completely misleading. That is why I've decided to refer to them as gender advocates.

i just came up with, special interest lobby group. everybody knows what that means. A bunch of bullies with money who try to push their non-popular political agenda onto everyone else.

They are using LGBT label to co-opt sympathy, while they are completely opposite to LGB.

I've been receiving requests for handouts from the ACLU and sending the donation envelope back with a message. I've mentioned this before, and I'd encourage all of you to do the same for any outfit you used to donate money to who supports gender identity politics.

I simply cannot understand the case here, except that the court felt pressure from the ACLU and special interest groups.

A reasonable accommodation was provided. It simply was not to the child’s taste (“The unisex private bathrooms are too far and I just don’t wanna use them”). So now everyone has to share restroom with the opposite sex because, while restrooms were provided that filled that essential need, apparently they did not fill the “need” of validation, which overrides everything - and everyone - else.

In one of these bathroom cases, the attorneys general of something like 18 US states filed an amicus brief in support of the transgender that stated that the definition of "sex" had changed.

If I have time later today I will post a link.

But this just goes to show you what we're up against. The attorneys general of a number of US states have decided that the biological definition of sex is no longer valid and instead made-up fairy words are.
