They don't come across as insane: https://freetodisagree.scot

That makes It even worse. Are Scottish people really into the whole trans thing?

It does seem like Scottish people (but especially politicians) are really gung-ho about being seen as more progressive than the rest of the UK, even though they aren't in a lot of ways.

Yeah I've noticed this as well. They see England as being stodgey and overly conservative, so they run hard in the opposite direction. They've been all aboard the trans train for quite some time, but wordcrime is taking it to a whole new level.

As much as they try to push the idea that Scottish nationalism is somehow different and better than other nationalism but it still very much relies on seeing themselves as superior to other countries. I remember when they got rid of nearly every Tory politician in Scotland and Scots nationalists and Labour supporters were posting, completely unironically, that the Scottish were simply more naturally socialist than the rest of the UK. Then of course the Labour vote also collapsed and the tories came back in then suddenly the natural socialism of Scots fell out of fashion on message boards.

Scotland is now in the trap Canada is in. Trying to prove itself superior via extreme wokeness rather than addressing its real social problems.
