Why does he want to remove Thomas Jefferson and not Andrew Jackson (ironically the first Democratic president)? It's not because he loves Jackson so much and hates Jefferson, it's because he doesn't want a woman (especially a black woman) on one of the most commonly used denominations.

Bingo! I thought about Jefferson too, and that was my same conclusion. He didn’t even think about the implication of removing Jefferson. He just wanted to keep a black woman off the $20 bill.

To be fair, Jackson is the former president that Trump is most like, albeit without the effectiveness.
