avoiding changing rooms, had an incident once, the look I got from the TiM was scary. Based on the fact that men who speak on this don't get the same level of harrassment as women online I think most are using their voting and purchasing power to react since speaking publicly affects your livelyhood nowadays.

I have a sneaking suspicion that most women won't complain, even if they are afraid, and many of the hardcore activists know this.

Women stop using them, walk out, leave. Girls stop going to school. They're deliberately driving women out of the public sphere.

You know, Saudis are a huge investor in the US and lately I’ve noticed esp. among democrats there are a lot of Islamists who are advising key democrats. I think pushing women out of the public sphere is what they desire.

Islamists would be pushing hardest for single sex options. Saudi Arabia has done a lot of window dressing with women's universities and such. Also many such people think weatern women are so promiscuous that we would welcome mixed sex spaces so we could seduce the.men with our wicked fitna ways.

No. Islamists don’t want women in public spaces. No public restrooms, no women in public. While in more liberal areas it might not be an issue, conservative areas it might. In the end it’s muslim women who will stay inside, which they are completely fine with.

I've never had this happen to me, as I never really used public changing rooms. When I went to work out, I always changed at home.

But if it happens in the future, I plan to immediately leave and tell the front desk or manager or whoever that I will not be coming back if men are allowed in the changing/bathrooms. I won't say anything to the TiM, because I wouldn't want to risk any act of violence against me or my daughters, if they are with me.

I also plan to teach my daughters that if a boy comes in the bathroom, to leave and tell a teacher. They should only physically fight if the boy does something first. I don't like the idea of my daughters becoimg victims, but I do not want them expelled or arrested instead. I'm not an anxious person, but this keeps me up at night sometimes :/

The gym will likely take the man's side: https://www.clubindustry.com/commercial-clubs/former-member-sues-planet-fitness-over-locker-room-policy-transgenders

Planet Fitness lost this lawsuit but that just means they had to refund her membership fees. They didn't change policy.

Yeah, but it's more a "principle of the thing". I would not want to sue the gym or anything. I would just make the management aware of why exactly they were losing a paying customer.

I think that women should start a movement where we ask store personnel, or receptionists at gyms, or supervisors at work, or co-workers, to go into sex-segregated spaces with us and wait while we go to the bathroom or change or whatever.

We can, very honestly, say we're afraid now that men have been allowed to self-identify as women and access women's spaces. I've been attacked in a women's shower and also been the victim of a hidden camera.

We do this enough and it becomes way too much of a hassle for facilities/companies, which only care about the bottom line, so they lobby the politicians and this nightmare ends.

We cannot allow ourselves and other women to have to live in fear. The time to act is now.

With all the "kill all terfs" propaganda, it's pretty hard to make a stink about this shit.

Yep, TiMs complain about supposed violence (mostly from tricking men into sleeping with them, who then react badly) they fear but women actually have gotten beaten up just for not approving of transwomen in their spaces.

I certainly wouldn't confront a TiM directly, I already know the guy is delusional and enjoys breaking boundaries. But I would complain and take my business elsewhere, hopefully there will still be alternatives. Sidenote, but maybe the whole "annoying Karen" thing is being meme'd so hard right now because they don't want women to complain to businesses either, and of course men in general love taking part in women-shaming for any reason.

Game Stop "It'a Ma'am" dude could break my jaw. I think I might actually start crying and my voice would get all shrill "There's a man in here in a dress and he's scaring me!" Imagine how insane he'd go then in his booming voice and threats of physical violence.

I'm actually wondering too because I not too long ago moved to a city that is all about self ID. I haven't been to public pools yet due to the whole covid thing but I'm kinda nervous about it now.

Speak out to the facility and, if you're in the US, to your mayor and city council.

Use these facts if you wish - they do help the argument:

According to the US Center for Disease Control (the CDC) almost 20% of American women have been raped and almost 44% have been sexually assaulted.

According to the National Center for Transgender Equality, a trans advocacy organization, 89% of TIMs keep their male genitalia, and 63%, almost 2/3rds, are attracted to women.

So please tell them that if self-ID goes forward, women in vulnerable spaces, many of whom have been victimized by male sexual violence already, could well be subjected to naked men with erections.

Let the lawsuits begin.

Thanks for the advice. I'm not actually sure what the current policy is and searching the city's parks websites doesn't really clarify. They do mention that there is a guideline that requires they have an "all gender/gender neutral" single occupant bathroom(/shower room in the case of pools) in every public building. Which I think is fantastic, I'm all for more single occupant changing spaces. But I'm honestly not sure what would happen if a Yaniv type waltzed into the women's changing room.

Hasn't happened yet for me. But this is an important question for women to be asking themselves NOW. I'm certain it will be a difficult one. And especially now that women have the popular TERF and Karen slurs to overcome. (Kinda slick how this is all coming together, right?). But, " the squeaky wheel gets the grease" , and women will be doing themselves, their daughters, and other women, no favors by quietly avoiding these situations. As PassionateIntensity points out, this is deliberately crafted to force women out of public spaces. What're we going to do, lobby for sex segregated spaces AGAIN? Whoops, sorry, that Tic-Tac-Toe box is filled for the block. Gender only, sex is what you do for pleasure. Edit: words

There's an article in what used to be a prestigious US publication, THE ATLANTIC, on the Karen meme and how it silences women.

Feminist Current also did an article on how the Karen meme is silencing women.

Yes, it doesn't seem to be a coincidence that as women become aware of the transgender lobby's moves to destroy women's rights, the Karen meme suddenly pops up. The enemies of women want to discredit us before we even open our mouths...
