A great deal of them are pedophiles, I believe, at least the toxic extremists. They are somehow regressed into a child-like state where they want to live in a fantasy world. Part of their fantasy world involves anime and cartoons, and it's also supported by years of violent misogynistic pornography. They have an underlying attraction to children, as many men who are porn addicts, since "barely legal" is a huge category of internet porn. Many who are tech savvy probably HAVE CP on their hard drives. Having cartoons on their profiles makes them seem friendlier to children who are on social media and who are in gaming forums. It assists in them grooming underaged teenagers into their lifestyle.
They HATE "terfs and Karens" in part because mothers are often the first line of defense in protecting their children from pedos and weirdos. The TRA extremists want to eradicate the power mothers have in regards to their own children. They want to legislate allowing children to be groomed into transitioning without parental input/consent. I imagine once that is codified into law, the discussion will open as to whether children can consent to sex. It will open up a Pandoras box. Corporate will support it because porn and sex and experimenting on children with medicine will be a huge payday for them.. Tech/corporate won't censor the pervert extremists because they're on the same side, and the TRA activists are doing the work for them, sometimes for free.

Eradicating women's rights + sexualizing and commodifying children = big bucks for corporate interests.

I'm still kind of shocked the people who invented a lot of these cartoons aren't suing for copyright infringement. You'd think they'd have a case if they did.

Sorry I got off on a tangent, but yeah, I think the anime obsession is part of a personality type that is prone to fantasy/maladaptive daydreaming.
